at least jamison will get the preseason to play the 4 hopefully and show that thats where he belongs with ebanks at the 3 and meeks at the 2 not the bench!

Where have you been?
Power forward Jordan Hill quite likely will be the Lakers' most valuable bench player this season — and he was the one guy who really was going for it early in training camp. That's why it was such a relief for the Lakers that the herniated disc in Hill's back isn't so severe that he can't play through it.
It's not all bad for the Lakers if Hill, Jamison, Meeks and Steve Blake make it a veteran bench as long as the vets are hungry.

Too bad he'll be suspended in the opener

One, Jordan Hill being Marcus Banks makes zero sense. People here thought Banks was good, people wanted Banks, we never got him, he never turned into anything of note. People here knew pretty much nothing of Jordan Hill, we got him, had no expectations for him, most weren't even sure if he'd even see time on the court, and he ended up playing and surprising with his hustle and being a good pickup. He was signed back for relatively cheap because he wanted to stay here and win and in the short time he'd been in camp and a game he looked really good. How is that anything like Marcus Banks?
Second, you said Chris Douglas Roberts was the 2012/2013 Marcus Banks the other day. So which is it? Or will you just go around making that nonsensical joke until it sticks somewhere? There's nothing wrong with seeing potential in or celebrating our bench players, nobody is hyping these guys up to be great, just to do the job they were brought in to do.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill returned to practice Thursday, less than two weeks after being diagnosed with a herniated disk in his back.
Hill was not cleared for any contact, and will not play in the Lakers' exhibition game in Las Vegas against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. But if his recovery continues to progress as hoped, he remains on track to return by the Lakers' season opener on Oct. 30.
Hill said previously that he wouldn't need surgery to repair the disk.
