He's going to be out for sure 5-6 weeks. If non-surgical methods aren't effective he will need surgery and we are looking at a D12 like recovery time aka the whole season.

If Hill is out for the year we can use the Disabled player exception for Jordan ( $1.75mil, worth more than the rest of the mini MLE remaining which is $1.5mil ). if Kenyon or whoever big is not happy we do have the ability to use a $1.75 mil exception. OKC used it last year after Maynor was out and it says we gotta use it within 45 days

Nice find Rock. I'd rather have Hill come back mid-season and the herniation not be season ending, but this would be the next best thing.

yea I'd rather have Hill back by late March or something. Lets see what Mitch can pull off now

Washington Wizards are loaded with quality bigs, we should try to get Kevin Seraphin or Trevor Booker for Blake or Duhon and dump Morris as well. John Wall is out for 8 weeks and they dont have any PGs on the team lol

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/washington.htm

Another team that needs PG's badly is Toronto...Kyle Lowry is out indefinitely

trade Duhon for Aaron Gray or somethin

anyone I know that has had a herniated disc has been pretty much out for at least 2 months. we're gonna need some additional manpower here.

i can't stand kenyon but i guess i'd say yes under these circumstances? anyone else out there to fill a hustle role?

****. Fill it in with whatever 4 word curse word you'd like starting with an F, C, or S.

Jordan was looking like a breakout type player this season... The one and only "positive" that I can see is that now Brown can't f*** with the rotations at all. We don't have two backup 4s that deserve minutes. Hopefully Sacre can fill in the minutes at the 5 that we need and Jamison can play the 4 we expected him to play...

Obviously though Sacre is a serious downgrade from Jordan...

I think this means Pau plays the 5 when Dwight sits, and Jameson the 4. Jamesons' minutes probably just went up.

Sacre didn't really look that good to me. Maybe 5 min per game max.

Man that sucks. He looked really good...

We need to sign Martin, pronto! Also, more minutes for Jamison, please. What can I say? I prefer players with more experience on our team.

Horrible news, he was playing great yesterday. Hopefully it's not too serious and he won't be out for the entire season. Sign Martin please.

Herniated disks are a real crapshoot.... they almost never go away regardless of the treatment (rest or surgery). For a normal person doing normal things they are a bother but for pro athlete they usually limit movement for the remainder of the career regardless of treatments. There has been substantial progress made in certain forms of orthopedic surgery (knees, hips and ankles) but back issues haven't progressed nearly as much.

I hope it's not chronic yet and he can get through the season with some limitations.....

I'm no fan of K-Mart whatsoever but unless someone else becomes available we might have to put that punk out there on a regular basis.....

dr. klapper said dwight howard will likely feel no effects for the rest of his career, so either dwight is the exception or it's not as bad as you say

Well.... you can go to the Mayo Clinic and read about the outcomes yourself......

There isn't a surgery in the world that anyone comes back from the "same"..... unless you've had surgery on a joint you don't know what I'm talking about.

Dwight may recover by the Dr's standards but I'd venture to say what he will have to do to prepare for the season and what he will be doing as far as lifting and stretching will be different from this day forward. The risk of re-injury is higher as well.

Backs can go real bad..... Larry Johnson had a fairly simple "herniated disk" basically end his effective career and I'm sure the Dr. deemed his surgery a success as well....

Nash has played with disk issues most of his career and they limit the length of time he can play.....

Restorative procedures on Backs are a far less "certain" thing than knee surgeries.

A 180 lb guard playing largely without contact is one thing....... and 7 foot big man carrying not only his weight but that of a couple opponents from time to time is completely another....

I hope Hill can get rested and get through the season with treatment rather than go under the knife.

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! :bang: I hope it's nothing serious. And when that week comes, the news will be "No surgery needed." Then Jordan can play. If not, Mitch has gotta call K-Mart. Plus K-Mart knows the Princeton offense better than Jordan.

seriously hope hes okay and heals quickly bc the guy def is a huge part of our bench. i'm glad that we have sacre though as he looks like he'll be able to back dwight up pretty well and handle himself out there.

jamison will get to play the 4 like hes supposed to so thats good!

Blake
Meeks
Ebanks
Jamison
Sacre

isnt too bad. hill's activity will be missed while hes out but i think sacre will do fine filling in. give him a chance to prove himself.
