Jordan Hill Injury? Kenyon Martin Answer?

Jordan Hill Injury? Kenyon Martin Answer?

Postby emplay on Mon Oct 08, 2012 6:43 pm

Hey all,

Bad news for the Lakers, Jordan Hill is out with a herniated disk. That can’t be good. They’ll reevaluate in a week but . . .

My suggestion? Kenyon Martin. LA can pay a little bit more than the minimum and his kids live in Los Angeles.

I know he wanted to be a Laker at a point this summer – just makes a ton of sense to me – even if Hill’s injury doesn’t take him out for the season.

I don't like Kenyon, but if you can sign him you do it in a second now, this season is about a championship.

Agreed. Sign Kenyon up. We need an experience defensive minded backup big to replace what Hill would have given us. Martin is the closest we can get in terms of what Hill would have offered us.

I'd say yes without question if I had faith Brown wouldn't then force Martin to play only the backup 4 minutes and forcing Meeks out of the rotation.

Still I say yes.

Do it now, not many quality bigs left & Kenyon could bring some defense and hustle tot he team as well. It's a shame though, hopefully the injury is not as bad as it seems.

Plus K-Mart knows the Princeton offense better than Jordan.

I really don't like Kenyon and his character, signed Sacre as a backup 5 and have Howard & Gasol split and play all the minutes at the 5, Jamison and Clark can play the remaining minutes at the 4

C - Howard (35'), Gasol (13'), Sacre
PF - Gasol (19'), Jamison (24'), Clark (5')
Michael Jordan : "My Chicago team are the all-time greatest"
Magic Johnson : "Put me with Kareem, James Worthy, Cooper and Byron Scott, and we'd dominate your Bulls team"

You realize that there's already 20 guys on the roster, right? You want to add two more?

Definitely. I've been wanting for them to snatch him up for most of the summer. He'd be a great insurance big. As soon as I heard about Hill's injury, signing K-Mart was the first thing that came to mind. Plus at the end of the season, he can spell some rest for Pau (assuming Brown is smart enough to monitor minutes this season).
