Jordan Hill Discussion: Back for 2 yr/$18 mil

Re: Jordan Hill: FA - do we re-sign him?

I don't think we can offer him the "stable" gig he's looking for with Randle on board. Then add in the fact that he wants a 3-4 year deal, I'd say he's gone.

It's too bad, but I agree.

I think he'd make a perfect big man off the bench for us with Randle and a taller Center though... Damn.

That's a shame, I hate to lose Hill because we won't budge ok on maximum 2 year contracts. At the same time he has been injured a lot, so you cannot afford to overpay for him.

Me too. I'll miss him, but looks like he's not too worried about being a Laker anyway

If I was a big man for LA and played last year, I wouldn't be either.

I would love to see Hill back, but if he wants more than 2 years he's going to be shown the door.

For those thinking that Jordan Hill is definitely out with the @Lakers, think again ... his reps were among their round of midnight calls.

I really want Hill to be our starting center. Great defender, shot blocker and hustles all around.

For 15 to 20 mins. We need him to share time with Kaman again maybe.

Among the teams that contacted Jordan Hill last night per league source: Lakers, Celtics, Rockets, Mavericks.Check out @MarkG_Medina's Tweet: https://twitter.com/MarkG_Medina/status ... 5519104001

Lakers have to get Hill. He's worth a 4 yr deal. Come on jimmy!

Hill is really good, but the perfect role for him is a hybrid PF/C , depending on the matchup -- off the bench. If he is OK with that, I think we could offer him a 3-year deal. I don't see any downsides to this if the price is right.

He is injuries prone, so a longer contract in the back of his mind will be better.

He's not signing there for the minimum. Only way he goes there is if Miami has cap space, meaning Lebron went to Cleveland.

I'm not sure how I feel. That's a great deal in terms of keeping our flexibility, but doesn't that pretty much use up all our cap room. So no Stephenson?

So technically, that's all of our cap room: $8M for Lin, $4M for Young, $9M for Hill

Either Nash is getting shipped out with that pick, and we're keeping Pau...or this team has lost its mind.
