Jordan Hill's Summer Assignment: Become A Stretch 4

Maybe we shouldn't have Hill away from the basket, he just isn't a stretch 4...as long as he hustles & rebounds I'm good but D'Antoni has to realize he cannot shoot.

Farmar/Henry/Johnson/Williams/Hill?

After the starters struggled, this team brought us back and gained the lead in no time.

I think Meeks was part of it hitting a couple threes, but whatever. :man10:

Actually it was

Farmar/Meeks/Henry/Johnson/Hill

Meeks was a big part of it, he had a great game by his standard, which means he won't have another one for 5-10 games.

bench being able to come in and just run and shoot and play young bball will help but if were missing shots then that unit is going to struggle. once in a rhythm and the ball swings around then its a good unit. run by farmar and having guys like wes and henry who can attack and finish will be key. meeks has to shoot well from 3. not like 1/4 then a 2/2 game...more consistent per game not overall.

having hill healthy is pretty important too. guy gobbles up rebounds like its nothing. i love his energy and style of play.

I liked what I saw from Hill tonight. No more stretch 4 crap. Grab rebounds. Hustle. Post up. Attack the rim.

Going to be tough for Hill because I think Kaman is going to take his spot, while MDA will keep Wesley at the 4, thus meaning Hill will be odd man out.

Sucks because he is looking much better

Yup, that's his game. Get in the post, rebound, score garbage points. Play undersized center, more then a stretch 4.

The problem is that he looked good against some random French guy who didn't look very good. I like Jordan, but I'm alright with him playing behind Kaman and Shawne Williams.

Just noticed that he kicked Gobert straight in balls when he dunked it. :man10: :man10:

HA!!! He sure did. Had not noticed that. That's OK the rook was doing a lot of posturing and some staring after his dunks. Pretty pleased with himself. Jordan added "injury" to the insult :man10: :jam2:

^Similar to the dunk he pulled on Pau Gasol as a player for Houston.
Nor can the Lakers get blamed for always making the right decisions over decades. At some point its not just luck or "gamble", its superior management and superior ownership.

No more stretching please. Just rebounding, defense, putbacks. He excels at this.

Yep. Although he did hit that ugly bank shot! :man10:

Great game from Hill. Just pure hustle tonight. He was a difference maker.

That is why you play Jordan Hill even if he can't shoot. He got like 3 offensive rebounds in a row at one point, at least 2 of them resulted in 2 threes in a row. He's battling Griffin and making him look as soft as he is, diving on the floor for a loose ball, cleaning up misses and scoring, guy is all heart. That's also why you don't trade him for the hell of it, no big at his price range is going to give you what he does.

I love that D'Antoni stuck with him. He fits in perfectly with that second unit.

I don't have faith in Meeks, but he did a great job too spacing the floor.

Jordan is going to be huge for this team.
