if kobe were to become a free agent after this year wouldnt we almost have to trade shaq?
is shaq satisfied with three titles and continuing to blow up to 400 lbs or will he get the other hunger back and get down to 320 and win three more?? GO LAKERS 2004-06 CHAMPS!!!

that might have come out wrong. im just saying that if kobe is a free agent next off season how else would we keep both. and shaq is getting no younger. for us to keep kobe we would almost have to do a trade with shaq to keep pace and stay within the cap(dont forget whoever we would trade shaq for would clear $ and get us one or two all stars)

Don't worry about Kobe leaving. He just said what he said to motivate Shaq to get to his MVP form, to convince Phil to coach a couple of more years, and to make the Lakers pick some players to stay competetive. Once all this happens, then Kobe will definitely sign with the Lakers.

He has too much to lose by leaving the Lakers.
The Lakers provides KObe with the second largest media market, the great history of the Lakers, and Los Angeles provides the best way of living in the country.
His family is comfortable in Los Angeles and his family is the most important thing in his life.

KOBEONE, he (KOBE) does have issues with his father. I hope he is not trying to somehow leave just to get away from him... that would be so sad. BUT still.... KOBE is not going to leave... He retires as a LAKER.
