It will happen... sooner or later.

That's why Chris Kaman didn't pick the number 35... still available for KD :)

Charlie V gets one highlight and just like Detroit's FO, he screws it up.

KD & K.Love both force sign & trades here next summer for giant TPE's by threatening to walk for nothing (when are they unrestricted?).. That's like the pipest of pipe dreams.. If we could put those 2 next to Kobe for 14/15 & as long as Kobe can play, I think those 3 healthy + even a decent supporting cast = rings every season that they're healthy.. If we get to keep Gasol & Nash & they contribute, that's just icing on the cake..

Talk about 2 great players to have them as our cornerstones to build for contending post-Kobe, we would be absolutely set.. KD is young & athletic & already doesn't rely on his athleticism at all.. He's going to be a top 3 player well into his early/mid 30's in my opinion.. You never know when injuries will change things but as of now he's probably the #1 piece to build a team around.. I think his age & potential for longevity gives him the edge over Lebron.

As for K.Love, I know we all hope we can sign him in 2015 but if he finds a way to force his way here before then, I'd be ecstatic.. He wouldn't help us with our lack of a rim protector but he'd improve our defense by limiting 2nd chance points with his elite rebounding ability.. His ability to stretch the floor & rebound at that level gives him such a unique skillset.. I don't know about KD but I think Love will end up a Laker eventually. I wonder if he would have accepted a S&T to Minne to play with Rubio or if we could have somehow gotten Love-Pek in a 3way for Dwight & possibly Pau.. I think we made a huge mistake by just letting him walk where he wanted to. Easy to say in hindsight & I know noone wanted to bully Dwight into making a decision before FA because he's a baby, but they really should have sat down with him around the deadline & asked for a commitment & made it clear that we would have to shop him if he couldn't give atleast a verbal commitment.. Maybe he ends up in GS, we get Love & Pek, Min gets Barnes & Bogut.. That would have worked for everyone involved.. Oh well.. If we aren't able to do some amazing things with this capspace, we'll have quite a few losing seasons to debate these what if's.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but that's not a Lakers facility. That's Steve Jackson's personal court in Bel Air, which is a replica of the Lakers' court. Steve is a big name in NBA circles - Shaq even thanked him during his retirement speech. The Miami Heat practice there often when they come to LA, and superstars like Derrick Rose, LeBron James, Chris Bosh and more have played in that gym.

I know because I recognize it - I've been lucky enough to have played there twice myself. Awesome doesn't begin to describe it.

But yeah...not a Lakers facility. Keep dreaming, folks...

Isn't that the guy whose son said something smart or got into an altercation from the stands with a Lakers player? I'm drawing a complete blank on who the player was & can't find anything googling it.

So.... If a non-Laker goes in our training facility it's thread worthy?

......and grounds for rampant speculation?

The only thing missing is the usual suspects posting a new depth chart with Love and Durant....

Yep, it is. The player was Steve Blake.
