Kobe will continue having the critics that will always find ways to nit pick his game, but guess what haters? The guy is on his 9th straight 30 point game at age 34 with more minutes on his legs than anyone else at his age. All those guys above him didn't have this kind of mileage on them. They didn't have his wear.

And this last game was probably his easiest 30 point game so far this season. He shot well and he found almost all of his shots within the offense.

All that being said, his defense can be really truly atrocious at times. It's so rare these days for me to see Kobe defend well on back-to-back posessions. I feel like he just takes a nap on that end some times. It's been better recently, but only ever so slightly and he really needs to start ramping it up on that end. Especially with Nash helping him with the offensive load.

The 30+ points thing is a real stat, but it's misleading. It's not the number of points a player scores that's the issue. The points produced is a symptom (or, reflection rather) of the underlying problem.

That problem is an over-reliance on any one player to carry an entire team's offensive load.

We're 1-0 when Kobe takes over 40 shots this season. Does that mean win and want him to take over 40 shots every game? No.

I am worried about both of them. D12 and Pau have got to step it up offensively. It'll be nice if we can blow some teams out so that Nash and Kobe can sit out most of the 4th.

the foot locker i picked them up from charged me $150. they removed the suggested retail tag that says theyre $140. they were $140 on nike.com earlier this morning and every other online retailer yesterday morning. i dont really mind paying a little extra since i didnt have to wait a week for them to get shipped to my house.

I am one of the few who don't like those shoes. Guess i am old school. Like simpler colors and designs.

Nash's shoes are very nice.

Yeah, $10 isn't much to spend when you're getting them right away. I ordered a pair of some older Kobe's and when they arrived, they had small imperfections. Not enough for me to bring them back, but if I was in the store, I would've bought a different pair.

If I recall correctly, this was after a playoff game against the Jazz where Kobe scored ~30 points and Barkley said he couldn't do it anymore... Even though he just did. And then went on to say that his ~30 points didn't matter :man10:

i loved the way kobe played yesterday, picking his spots to be aggressive, and times to defer to nash.

looking forward to him really saving energy on the offensive end, and hoping it transfers to the defensive side.

You are correct it was about "30 point games". He said it after game 5 of the OKC series (Kobe scored 12 or 13) and after that he scored 30+ in game six and in all 4 games against the Jazz :man9:
