Melo had 45pts last night. That will be great to see Kobe vs Melo.

kobe is not the reason why we're losing. Plain and simple. Definitely not last game. Last year kobe was worse than he is this year, in terms of negatively affecting this team, and we're worse this year, than we were last year. How do you explain that? Please. Its a collective effort. And putting it on pau, kobe, or dwight would be just be asinine. One player can not make a team 9-13. And vice versa. They win collectively, and they lose collectively.

This year the Lakers are:
1-10 when Kobe scores 30 points or more.
8-3 when Kobe has 5 or more assists.

I guess we'll find out whether Kevin Ding's statement about the team ready to perform being true. The Knicks are proving to be one of the best teams in the league and we're going to have our hands full. Kobe will definitely bring it, but will the rest of the team?

Well one guys attitude can touch every other guys attitude in a negative or positive way. Cant wait till Kobe is gone.

You do know that he doesn't handle the ball anymore right? All point guard duties have been handed over to chris duhon. Even a blind man can see this. Stop accepting what other famous journalists tell you as fact. You're smart enough to think for yourself. And not having 5+ assists doesn't mean he's not passing, it just means he doesn't have the responsibility of setting up his teammates. Kevin Durant is avg less than 4.5 apg. I'd like to see someone call him a selfish ball stopper. Oh the idiocy...

KD does not have the handles Kobe does. KD has enhanced his passing abilities since last years finals, probably b/c Westbrook likes to shoot a lot so he just accepted the added responsibility. Maybe Kobe needs to add a little more to his game this year to get to another level. He accepts challenges so this is one he should do to shut people up. Pick up the assist slack while Nash is out, not just the scoring.

After that Kobe interview yesterday where he said next season might be his last, I'm just going to appreciate this guy and enjoy watching his final games. Obviously he's not above criticism when he plays poorly, but at the same time I can never get too down on Kobe because of all he's done for the franchise, the titles he's brought us, the endless entertainment he's brought us, it's going to be a weird and sad day when the Lakers play their first game with him retired. Obviously we as fans will move on and continue to cheer on the team, but the loss will be felt, we'll always look back and appreciate what an amazing player we got to watch (for 18 years or so depending on when he retires). There will never be another Kobe, just like there will never be another MJ, Magic, Kareem, Bird, Shaq, etc..

Exactly... Kobe wants to be the greatest ever, he's said so a million times. That means better than the pedestal Michael has been put on. That means more rings than him.

Because let's face it at this point the only way he can be placed on the same pedestal as Jordan is to say "look I've been to the Finals more and won more rings". That's pretty much all he can do since statistically Jordan has him beat and Jordan has him beat in individual accolades of course.
