I wish we could bet on whether or not he plays :man12:

We are 4-0 on opening night without him ... just sit and come back against the Floppers ... would suck for those who have tickets for the opener though

Arash Markazi ‏@ArashMarkazi
No need to rush Kobe back right now. Rest him Tuesday and Wednesday and get him back Friday against the Clippers.

I'd be absolutely fine with this. (I don't want to start with an L though, hopefully our team can beat Dallas and Portland without Kobe -> they SHOULD be able to)

Kobe is 6-24 at Rose Garden in the regular season in his career ... we don't win at Portland unless it's a playoffs game ... he can rest

He's been practicing with the first unit in practice, so it would appear so.

He's missed openers before. If the injury is that bad, he should sit. The season is a marathon, and we need him when it counts.

I don't think anyone is saying it will be, they're just worried about Kobe moving forward.

Tonight's game should be an easy win.

Kobe went through everything in shootaround, testing his foot, & will see how it responds before determining if he'll play tonight.

Kobe: If it gets better (from work he did at shootaround), I'll play. If it gets worse, "I'll have to shut it down"

It's all about whether or not he can heal while he plays. I don't know the injury, so I don't know if he can or can't.

For those saying shut it down, nah. that's not his style. And if there's no real risk of FURTHER damaging the foot while he plays, I don't mind if he decides he's cool to go.

If playing does not damage his foot further, he's going to play. And yes that means even if it hurts like hell, he's going to go out there and play. Dude is a serious warrior.

What exactly was Kobe's injury? A contusion of the ankle and a strained tendon underneath his cuboid bone in his Right foot
