Kobe didn't play 44 minutes, whatever amount of time he was on defense was essentially him sitting on the bench.

LOL! kobe's defense was fine. I think people are used to hearing about his bad d recently, that they automatically think its bad every game. Wasn't outstanding, but definitely wasn't awful.

He shot 54% for 40 points on 24 shots, efficient offense still needs to get better on defense, but playing him for so many minutes and him having to guard and then put up points like that can tire him dramatically. Bit Kobe played a great game today and tried his best so I don't think the loss is on him. I think we're used to blaming Kobe for whatever reason it's seems to somehow always be his fault.

Amazing effort on offense, not so much on D. The whole team sucked the big one on that end.

defense is lazy. ball watching. not closing out on him man. complaining and not getting back.

his offense tonight wasn't the problem. kobe was amazing there, but he has flaws...as does everyone on our team and as a whole.

Kobe's D was apparently pretty bad, but he didn't yield all 12 threes or all 20 offensive boards. This was an amazingly bad collective effort on D. It took genuine effort to suck that bad.

Exactly. We gave up a 127 defensive efficiency :man10:
At one point I was truly mesmerized at how bad we were defending, gave them so many different possibilities at the same time, I just didn't understand how it was even possible

I thought everyone's D was bad, but Kobe is supposed to be the leader here so I'm not sure I would completely accept the "everyone sucked" response because he's supposed to set the example for the team.

Having said that, for me, defense is still a team game.

But considering his D was (and is) bad, I'm sure you won't mind people complaining about it, right?
