THIS

Its as if someone put out a hit on Kobe after the playoff declaration and crazy run of success.

I'll leave it at that.

Anyway...Kobe deserves better than this. At this point all I can ask is that they win . I don't care how.

^Thats poorly worded. These silly mistakes you'd expect with more regularity out of players like Metta and Meeks etc, but that doesn't mean that guys like Nash, Kobe, Durant, Lebron and all those guys wont commit some ridiculous error like this at one point or another.

Well then
NBA has informed #TWolves that Kobe Bryant should have been called for a foul on Ricky Rubio @ end of game, sources tell AP.

^Chick Hearn is out there saying it's "mascara"...a make-up call for the Atlanta gaffe.
Nor can the Lakers get blamed for always making the right decisions over decades. At some point its not just luck or "gamble", its superior management and superior ownership.

Yeah, I think most would say it was a foul on the replay. Looking it in real speed I thought it was a block as well though, but then my feed was crappy and Im not a trained (and Im assuming relatively highly paid) professional who was there in person a few feet from the play.....So either the ref was blind or he decided to swallow his whistle.

Either way it worked out for us, and while ideally Id like the calls to be right, its nice not being on the wrong end of a referee error.

These statements do almost nothing for the sport. In fact they really do more harm then good.

What good comes from this? The Wolves fans feel better? Not really. Now they feel even MORE cheated knowing the wrong call was made. Laker fans just get a kick out of it.

The thing is, this (or a flagrant or a technical) has been called against us a few times this year and it's about time we got it our way.

^^^ indeed, they're telling a team "we missed a call and screwed you out of a chance to tie the game, sorry". What does that do for the team that was screwed other than make them more mad, rub it in that they were screwed? What a stupid system.

This is Stu Jackson's doing isn't it?

I don't know or care to know anything about him, but he seems to characterize the epitome of behavior known as power trippin'

I don't think people realize how bad his AST:TO ratio really is.

It has GOT to be among the worst among all starting SGs in the league. That's not good. At all.

Dagger... you know the rest.
Vitti uttered three words that surely applies to how Bryant made two free throws on one leg, walked off the court on his own and processed his rehabilitation plan amid the pain, frustration and tears.

“That’s really cool.”

Yup that Kobe is playing horrid for sure....
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

lol i didnt even know kobe was 2nd in the nba in turnovers per game. not really surprised since he handles the ball so much though. james harden, kevin durant and russell westbrook are right after him on the list and lebron is 12th.

From 06-12 Kobe was one of the best in the league at taking care of the ball relative to his USG%.

Even this season he was right in that same range in terms of TOV% (11.6% until he took on the facilitator role starting against the Jazz).

Since then his TOV% is 16.4% which is by far the worst of his career. He's averaging 7.5 APG during that span but at the cost of turning the ball over A LOT. It's too bad things didn't work out with Nash because ideally this was the season where Kobe focused on nothing but scoring efficiently by moving off the ball. Instead he has taken on more offensive responsibility :man10:

Kobe was putting various wraps around his left foot, with his shoe off, while on the bench in the fourth quarter, searching for relief.
