Kobe Bryant Discussion: Reason for Lakers downfall?

Re: Kobe Discussion:"Amnesty THAT"

The untimely death of streetball legend Alimoe sent shockwaves through the entire basketball community this week. SLAM’s Joseph Vecsey reports that Kobe Bryant, Al’s favorite NBA basketball player, is showing his respects by sending his signed sneakers for Alimoe’s funeral service. “Today, his favorite NBA basketball player Kobe Bryant sent his sneakers signed to Alimoe for Al to have forever,” Vecsey said. “I know Alimoe is not only going to be smiling wide in Heaven when his family receives them for him to have, but he’s also going to be doing some bragging. I can see him now saying, ‘Y’all better do some reading around here…the Black Mamba is a fan of The Black Widow.’”

Yet as I watched him Monday, I could not help think how little it mattered and how right he is. He is not fading into the shadows. He does not know how to go out that way.[.]

In '11/12, opposing SG's had a 13.4 PER vs Raja Bell, exactly the same as SG vs Kobe this yr.

Kobe's PER at PG this yr is 40.1. The PG's he guards? 30.3.

I was hoping they'd show some business investments or something. Nothing most of us already didn't know.

This ^^^. Personally I think he's sandbagging all of us. Unless the knees start killing him, with his skills and talent why would he walk away? What if Kobe was true to his word to Dwight and was still alfa dog, the Lakers being his team through the last year of his top of the mountain contract.......

Then just to do something never done before, take a fraction of his salary to come back and be the best damn #2 option to Dwight and whoever else they can lure to L.A. Money's not a problem for him. Those rings are still out there to be had and the "lists" of all time numbers still to be climbed. How fun would that be?

Cough cough....OK who wants a hit off this pipe next :man10: :man10:

That dunk was circa Kobe 03.

Man is amazing.

And yeah, I've always mentioned how gigantic Kobe's jersey is. I have no idea why. He'd be lighter and more streamlined with a better fitting jersey.

He didn't shoot to much?

Oh yea, I forget those posters don't show up when Kobe dominates and we win.

KOBE is the damn man. If that dunk was done by KD or LBJ it would be the best play of the month. However, its Kobe fricken Bryant. That is all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kobe kept us from losing the game tonight. It would have been an embarrassing loss despite being up 16 points at one point.
