Some for practice as well? I have no idea. I know some NBA payers (mainly the big time ones) wear a new shoe every game.

If he wears a pair a game, allows some throw away pairs if he's not liking how they're feeling or how he's playing while wearing them in the game, allows some to giveaway to other players/fans/team personnel...that's still a hell of a lot of sneakers.
