Not with all the other injuries on the team in this snakebit season and Popavich and the Spurs roster. Timmy is amazing. He's the equivalent of Kobe as a big man defying age this year.

If the Lakers play the defense they have the last 2 games and we had Kobe do his thing you guys dont think we'd have won either of these games? I mean come on Kobe destroys the Spurs...look at that 2008 series you had neither Gasol or Odom playing at an all star level and neither were our shooters lighting it up, he still shot 50% from the field and scored 29 a game....vs SAS this yr 27.5/4/6.5 assists.

But we can only dream of what ifs...it is what it is

That's because Pop is smart. He limits Tim's minutes, for at least the last 3-4 seasons.

Whereas Brown and Antoni ran Kobe to the ground to save their behinds.

Lakers would've won at least one in San Antonio, and I'd expect them to take both in LA. How different this series is without the Mamba.

It was good, but could have been a lot better (sorry to be the downer of the video). It was still a great idea.

Now for some Kobe news for today:

Beto Duran ‏@DuranSports 2h

Kobe Bryant just arrived at Lakers practice facility.

Mike Bresnahan ‏@Mike_Bresnahan 2h

Kobe Bryant here at Lakers' training facility, on crutches, just disappeared into back room to "get treatment," he said.

Beto Duran ‏@DuranSports 2h

Kobe (on crutches) said he was also at practice yday. Asked if willing to do in game TV interview "Nah. I'll just tweet"

Mark Medina ‏@MarkG_Medina 30m

Kobe Bryant to join Lakers on the bench in Game 3 vs. Spurs http://bit.ly/10GqA4W

Now John Ireland just reported that Kobe will watch the game from the Locker room because after all the media talking about his whole twitter thing he doesn't want to take away from the team in anyway. :man5: damn!

If we had Nash and Blake I could see that, but with Morris and Glock starting (I assume they are?) I think Kobe on the bench cheering might be a mental boost, this is his team after all. Pretty sad that he won't be out there because the media would probably make a story out of a guy on the bench cheering on his own team.

Kobe was being driven away in a golf cart but stopped to chat with Tracy McGrady.

Offer him a spot on the roster. Can't be any worse than Ebanks.

I hate to say this guys but if there's one thing I'm happy I never have to hear about it again....it's "the Lakers play better team ball without Kobe"...this is assuming we get swept or beaten in 5 games...now I don't EVER...i repeat...EVER wanna hear that we're a better team without Kobe or that our players somehow play better without Kobe. None of these guys have the same balls as Kobe to carry this team. I really fear for the Lakers future...if we don't get somebody who is in the same mold of a Kobe, we're seriously doomed for years on end. :bang: :bang: :bang:

In a way I'm glad we don't have to see Kobe suffer the indignity of going down with a hobbled roster to the Spurs.

I look forward to a healed and motivated Kobe, resplendent in golden armor, dunking all over Tim Duncan's passive aggressive mug.
