If we need Kobe to play 40 minutes in order to win with this team and this talent, Mike Brown needs to go because he is clearly not maximizing the potential of this team.

So in other words, I do care if we win or lose. Mike should be able to win 55-60 games easily with Kobe's minutes down to 32.

Agreed. He won 60+ games with LeBron and some scrubs. He should be able to ride Dwight during the regular season for 60 wins or so, leaning on Kobe and Nash as required. Of course, we'll lean on them all equally, but he should be able to get to 60 wins with this team easily.

MUCH weaker eastern conference though, and it's still weak compared to the West..

if we were in the eastern conference and heat were in the west we'd have nothing to worry about. but we have to go through okc and the heat to win a title instead of the heat just going through us or okc. sucks...

True but we're also a much stronger team. I think if we really limit the amount of games lost to crap teams, there's not really 20 losses out there for this team.

Sick.

If Dwight Howard shot 70% from the free throw line, he'd be unbeatable.

Kobe, Pau, Nash should all see reduced minutes this season.. Once Dwight gets back in peak shape, he barely needs to come out of the game. He'll play the most minutes on the team. Nash worries me the most. His minutes need to be limited more than anyone, but for that to happen Blake or Duhon have to produce. I'm confident in Meeks & Jamison/Hill to rest 24 & Pau.

Well...if I was Metta I wouldn't be complaining about getting Sportsnet on Uverse at my house. I'd just buy a new house in a Time Warner area :man12:

For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

That's fine. Let's just make sure we nip this thing in the butt now so it doesn't linger all training camp and into the regular season.

we have to get used to the fact that Kobe will pick up all sort of little injuries. Its part of getting old.
