i know he says he's gonna retire soon but before he does, he needs to lift some weights, i remember he used to look more buff and strong on top but now he looks so fragile. But if he continues to shoot well, i guess who cares...

Pretty much. Mike Brown is in self destruct mode, which means the team pays.

if kobe is able to play. He's playing 40mins. Mike Clown would kill kobe and his starters if it meant saving his job. I'm pretty sure an 0-3 start, with denver at the 4th game, would gain the front offices attention. 0-4 would definitely have them start thinking of replacing him. They aren't going to have this teams payroll only to have the idiot coach ruin everything. They'll ship him out in a heartbeat.

I hope Mike Brown will not played Kobe more than 30-32 minutes in this game, it's a common sense, he can't be that dump right?

Kobe is up to an amazing start to the season.

Enjoy it while you can. I'm really thinking about his retirement every week. Its soooo f'n hard for me to have this team without Kobe. Even on his sucky days you could always bet your house that he would try everything to win. He always gave me that sense of security...no matter what or how we trailed, there was always a part of me that said: "well maybe Kobe will go off"...

you trail by 15 with 3 minutes..."well maybe Kobe makes 10 straight 3s"...
nobody can score..."well maybe Kobe goes for 60"...
you need an impossible clutch shot..."give it to Kobe, get out of the way"...

that sense of security will be gone.

A lot less isos , more catch and shoot and he didn't attack/cut to the basket that much in a while ( 29 of his 67 shots have been in the restricted area +10 more in the paint )...

Hopefully he will keep playing that way ... a clever shots selection

Kobe is off to a great start, I don't think he'll be able to maintain this high level of efficiency but he'll definitely be more efficient than last season.

Well that Really Depends if mike brown doesn't Run Him into the ground If He Plays him 30-32 mins with 35 being the max then He can but if He plays 40+ then He'll Probabley Be injured for a few months.

The problem is Kobe has had that type of starts...at some point though he will revert back to shooting contested Js with his foot on the arc.

I remember 2-3 years ago he started the season on an incredible clinic, shooting fadeaway midrange shots like every opportunity...abusing the Hornets, Blazers, Grizzlies etc. while shooting like 0 threes. And then he went back to shooting tough shots.

I hope he keeps it up this year...older and wiser I guess.

^^^^ true Pau was out for 10+ games though and Bynum for a couple though so he could operate in the mid-post/post era ... then went back to the perimeter when Pau came back ...

Of course he won't keep shooting around 60% but as long as he keeps playing the right way , he'll be more efficient than the last two seasons

I remember that start too, this time though it does seem different, its as if though he has really accepted that role and quit the isos for the good of the team, as he is getting older he is realizing he doesn't need to iso every night, he has a good enough team to not do so and so far its working perfectly for him. Guy amazes me every single night.
