When posted the question by a reporter about Bryant's shot, Pierce appeared to be a bit miffed. "I think it got kind of blown out of proportion. [Dhantay Jones] put his hands up, got into the defender. I mean the fact it's Kobe Bryant, it's an issue. If it was somebody else, we wouldn't even be talking about this today."

Yeah, and if it was Paul Pierce he'd be in a wheel chair.

“I’m not goig to comment on Dahntay Jones and some of his antics he does on the basketball court,” Scott said Friday. “Me and him got into it a couple of years ago anyway. We’ll leave it at that.”

Um...isn't that a comment? :man10:

You have managed to express the exact sentiments I was feeling so eloquently.

Great usage of asterisks too...

Kobe isn't the only one ... Gibson spoke up about his injury and has commented on the lack of enforcement of the encroaching rule. Maybe the NBA will step up now and start telling refs to call that foul.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Maybe Kobe Will get a rule called after him.... Like Barkley and Marc Jackson got.....

Allowing shooters to land... Yeah because undercutting a shooter is not safe at all. I'm sure Jones had no ill intent, but shooters do need to be protected.

The picture of the guys standing around and looking down at an injured Kobe makes me think of kids who just saw road kill, I keep picturing Howard holding a stick and poking Kobe while saying "Kobe...Kobe, get up Kobe....ko...beeee.."

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter
Yesterday, @LAIreland told a few of us a story about how he was saying on pregame TV that Kobe could barely walk, wouldn't play, etc...

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter
...Kobe came running out in warm ups, gave Ireland a good game slap, proceeded to play great. Doubtful 2night, but can't ever count him out.

Wow, is he really going to play tonight :man3:

What Gibson said is pretty eye opening and really damning. Scott to a lesser degree but completely backs everyone up that has an issue with Jones. Especially Kobe, with an a-bleep like Pierce now jumping in from the sidelines to add a "star's" point of view. Yeah that's really accurate you loser if you watched the footage of what Jalen Rose did and what Jones did. Self serving bleep. I hope Jones gets him.

So for Jones, with a documented "history", where there's fireballs being carried a hundred yards with the wind (smoke) .....there's a fire.

^ I think that was a story from a different game. I it uses "proceeded to play great" meaning to me that it was past tense.

The game hasn't been played yet, so I doubt he plays tonight unless something crazy happens.

Kobe should not play and risk further injury, he should just sit down and relax, have some hot cocoa, watch a telenovela, read a book, nap, anything but play, it would be all sorts of stupid to allow him to play.

The haters would be all over that as proof he has just been a drama queen and not even hurt that badly. You know it. Good thing is Kobe knows people know and he himself doesn't give a bleep...... just like the "honey badger" Warning slight profanity and you may hurt your ribs laughing if you haven't seen this yet :

Actually, he should treat this like the calf injury he had last year; don't play until you're absolutely sure. We have an easier schedule then Utah coming up and we should win those games with Nash, Dwight, and hopefully Pau returning Monday.

I'd rather have a healthy Kobe for the PO's then a 75-80% Kobe...

Kobe worked out on the floor for approximately 15 minutes just now, with Gary Vitti observing. "Looked OK" according to a source

If he plays, hopefully he covers up his injury so people don't get to see that the swelling is actually his metal endoskeleton showing through.
