I'm with him. Wouldn't be too bothered if Howard is traded. Wouldn't be broken up if he stays on another few years either. He simply can't play worse than he has this year.

Interesting. A couple things that I want to point out; we're not the Detroit Pistons. We don't tell a player he's not going to be traded and then go back on our verbal commitment that we made. If, in fact Dwight is moved, it will be to Brooklyn with Dwight knowing before the deal is consummated, IMO.

Secondly, Brooklyn has nobody on that roster that I believe the Lakers FO desires in straight swap with Brooklyn, IMO. There will be a 3rd team involved. This is where the Minnesota deal makes sense. Kevin Love, Brook Lopez, and Dwight Howard.

The whole point of getting Dwight was having somebody to carry the torch once Kobe retired. If Dwight isn't that guy, then there is always a possibility we can use Dwight as trade bait to lure somebody who has a good attitude and desires to invest their long-term career with the Lakers organization.

Pretty much. Of course him being traded implies that we get a nice return, otherwise it wouldn't happen, so yeah, I agree with your stance.

I hope he's right and we do look to trade Dwight honestly. That said I hope it's not with the Nets unless we can pry a lot more talent away from them than just Lopez. But I don't want to take this thread off topic, maybe that should go in the Howard thread.

Those blocks had me jumping out of my seat haha, wish Kobe had the energy to play lockdown defense like that for a full game. He should in the 4th anyway.

He cant play Defense like that during an actual game because he'd foul out in the 1st Q. Lebron gets every little touch foul look at him look around for a foul after the 2nd block

thats why i hope to God 24 becomes either the Lakers Head Coach or the GM eventually because his competitive mentality will translate to those jobs as well to help us stay on top.

Kobe embarrassing Lebronze :jam2:

Plus Bosh got humiliated tonight too having at least 3 airballs and constantly having the ball thrown through his legs.

They sure didn't act like buddies this weekend, Kobe and Dwight. Dwight may be a champion and leader someday, after 5 more years of coddling. But the FO can't wait that long, and waste that much cash waiting for him to grow up. The effort Kobe has put in this year, along with his willingness to morph into whatever D'Antoni wants him to do, has really shown the FO and the fans who's loyal to the organization. Meanwhile, Dwight won't say a word about commitment, talks incessantly about how little fun he's having, and won't even give a full effort this year.

I would not be surprised if he's traded. And I would be elated.

Kobe just blocked a cup of water out of LeBron's hand.
Kobe has his hand up, covering LeBron's eyes so he can't watch the MVP ceremony.
LeBron tried to give a kid an autograph and Kobe just slapped the pen out of his hand.
LeBron is calling for a screen so he can get into the locker room.

Kobe just stole LeBron's jeans.
