That TO was unfortunate, but I've watched it a few times now. Why did Nash run his defender by Kobe like that?

if we can make the playoffs i think we can see kobe get to the basket like last night more consistently. not many perimeter defensive tandems as athletic and talented as matthews and batum except the thunder and miami.

Is Kobe a jerk to every analyst/journalist behind closed doors ?

If any other recent superstar player does that at 34 or in their 17th season you better believe they'll have a little segment every other day about how amazing they are. It's pitiful how people brush aside older players not named MJ before they can even put a stamp on their career, pack their bags good and leave.

I think thats what Kobe was wondering too. It looked like he was looking in the paint for a cut but when Nash ran by him his defender surprised Kobe. It is still Kobe's fault for the turnover but It was perplexing

Since "the assist" movement began (or "the right basketball play" movement if you prefer), the Lakers are 10-4. In those 14 games, Kobe has 277 points, 113 assists, 95 rebounds. Those are averages of 19.8 points, 8.1 assists, 6.8 rebounds.

LA has moved from 8 games below .500 to 2 below.

kobe was phenomenal against the blazers. first few jumper he took looked like he didn't quite have his legs, but i loved the shot selection.

i recall that play when nash ran around kobe, i think he was trying to get a handoff. not 100% sure, but that would be my guess. also, i think the expectation would be that batum would then shade towards nash to help and kobe could go the opposite direction.

I don't think they want to make a big deal out of it, because if he keeps this up for a few more seasons & gets more rings in the process, there will be no more argument for their god MJ.

That had alot to do with who was protecting the rim.. LMA isn't the most intimidating force on defense.

Has there ever been a more graceful player to watch than Kobe Bryant. Before anyone jumps out with legitimate options like Kareem, Jordan and others...... first, IMO it has to be weighed heavily with the enormous arsenal of perfect skills Kobe has mastered and the degree of difficulty he has had the balls to go to and be able to pull off for making plays on the floor. Kobe can shoot sky hooks as well. But to me to watch the grace and fluidity with which he moves......and the precision of his enormous arsenal of skills, he is at the absolute top of the list.

Basic example today in 1st half against Dallas the crossover at the top of the key to free him for a 3 pointer. But above that the economy of motion, perfect angles to do it all and then beautifully take those perfect 2 quick steps forward into his shot, plus bringing him closer to the basket. That earlier 3 from down freaking town. The vertical rise up 3 from stationary near the end of the first half. As many different dunks as Jordan in Kobe's prime or as anyone else in the history of the game. Just the way he brings the ball across half court.

Just wow. Kobe Bryant.

Kobe Bryant delivers a monster game with 38 pts, 12 rebs and 7 asts on 13-21 FG. Amnesty that.

What a performance.

AMNESTY.

I feel so bad for Dirk, one of my favorite players ever. It's a shame his team's owner sucks (bleep).

Suck it Cuban.

Wow what a game, another awesome performance all around, he scored a ton, but still found a way to get 7 assists and some hockey assists as he moved the ball well. Absolutely clutch today too, almost every big shot he put up went in.
