For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

He's 35, older, and slower. So was every other star player that aged, but he's still putting up elite numbers. Was MJ ranked out of the top 10 at 35? Are they gonna do LeBron like that when he turns 35? Probably not. I don't think I even seen any other player casted to the side like they've been doing Kobe. Even when he was younger they latched on to Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter and others ahead of him. The modern NBA is all about commercialism. Football, baseball, soccer, hockey, even golf doesn't do that.

BSPN? 25th? He's not even 25th anymore, 100th!

Who care if he's rank 100th by BSPN... Players, Coaches and fans appreciation is what matters most..

MJ won the scoring title, mvp and finals mvp when he was 35. it was the last season before he came back with the wizards. im sure kobes ranked that low because no one knows when hes coming back and when he does come back, how different will he be? stephen a smith did say it was blasphemous and insulting that he was ranked below players like joakim noah and roy hibbert though.

Meh it's not like Kobe couldn't have done that as well, in 2011-12 he was a game short of a scoring title. Most Lakers fans constantly stated they don't care about the individual accolades anymore and it's about winning. I'm not going to even into that MVP mess of an award anymore. Derrick Rose is coming off of injury and people are anticipating his comeback, but Kobe is the guy people need to cast to the side because he's sooo old, slow and done? I think it's just blatant disrespect not just due to his age and injury, but the name on the back of the jersey. Besides people are tired of him. Time for the new young guns. Still haven't seen other older players in the past done like this.

I could care less what they rank him. The only bright side of them ranking Kobe 25th is that he'll prove them wrong AGAIN and it'll make ESPN look foolish, AGAIN.

5. Where does Kobe rank all time?

Arnovitz: Isn't it hazardous to tackle this question in 65 words? Taking inventory of every player in history who can be generally classified as dominant and wildly efficient, I count about 10 players who can be comfortably ranked ahead of Kobe.If longevity weighs heavily in the criteria, then Kobe should quickly follow. If you prefer a metric like win shares per 48, he's farther down the list.

OK I've been under a rock. WTF is the win shares metric? No wait..... never mind, don't give a rat's a$$.....someone who drives a Prius probably came up with it. :man10: :man1:

I bet that guy has never even played basketball..

If you truly understand what the game's about, you just know Kobe is definitely a top 10, top 5 player of all time.

WIN SHARES? :man10:

Who the F is Arnovitz btw? lol

So I did some research and found out Kobe has a 1st cousin named John Cox who was the best man at his wedding. Kobe cousin plays in the French league. I found this video of him from a game he played last week, and he was the MVP of the game. lol He's pretty good..I wonder why he never tried out for the Lakers this summer? I think he may better than some of our camp invites this year.

Hopefully that's not full speed. :man10:

The biggest problem will come from that explosive step he used to have and being able to cut and change directions. Straight "up and down" speed shouldn't be that hard once he gets back into the groove. It'll be changing directions, driving through the lane, that kind of thing that will feel very different and will be very difficult to get back.

He is looking huge in upper body, or maybe it's because t-shirt.
He will be fine, of course, i just hope that he will take his time, but that vine video  man oh man, i am so happy to see him out there, can't wait for comeback.
The main thing is that there is no pain and soreness, but yeah i agree with therealdeal, it will be difficult definitely, fast changing direction, bounce in legs, reactions, movement overall.

His looking heavy is probably a result of him not doing much all summer. He looks about 15-20lbs heavier.

Depending on how soon he wants to return he'll have to use the season as a way to get into shape. It's good to see him out there running though and the crowd was going crazy just seeing him running. :jam2:
