For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Interesting look, would be pretty strange if he kept it and came into next season looking like Karl Malone/Bryon Russell/others with that look, very strange. Wonder what he's getting a tattoo of.

I seem to remember he had a beard like this up until preseason or media day last year and then he quickly got rid of it.

I really really don't like it :disagree:

Before Kobe got his first tattoo years and years ago I had always hoped he would stay clean in that department growing up. I'd hope he'd be different than a lot of NBA players. I have gotten used to his first tattoo and thought it was alright.

But this........ Come on MAN

I don't really care what kind of tattoos Kobe gets, it's his body/life, all I care about is what he does for the Lakers. Even if I did care though it just looks like he got his daughters names, no big deal, not like he has a birdman neck tattoo or the $5 bill Deshawn Stevenson neck tattoo, those things IMO look ridiculous.

I think it's a nice little tribute to his daughters. Like Weezy said, I really don't care at all what Kobe tattoos on his body...he's the only person who really has to be concerned about that. I do hope he keeps the beard though. :man10:

Of course, I'm just giving my opinion. I'm really interested to see how it looks from a far, not just a close up picture.

The problem with that, is that Dwight will never get to have his team if that happens. I do want Kobe Bryant back, but no max deal, no MLE, and no Mini-MLE. Dude will hurt our cap space if he expects a big contract, and I am not maxing out a 36 year old Bryant, after coming off an Achilles Injury. He can come back at vet. minimum for 2 years, otherwise their is the door. Thanks for all the memories, but buisness is buisness, and we can't have this guy, no matter how brilant of a player he has been over the years eating our cap space. No thank you! I want us ready for when Wall- Curry- Irving-Love-LeBron are free agents.

^ i'm by no means a cap expert but i think we can sign kobe for any amount we wish. If nash can get $9M at 38 then Kobe could easily command double that amount after next season. I would think like $15M per is fair but $10M would be more palatable.

^ :man10:

Kobe was pretty clearly a Top 10 player when he went down. Yeah, he lost his defense... but was still an offensive force. He can take a pay cut, sure, but we're not getting a Top 10 player on this roster for the... veterans min. :man10: :man10:

Even at 35, coming back from an achilles injury, he will command in the 10 mil range, at least. Duncan's making that much... Kobe will too.

^ Then I truly and wholeheartedly wish him nothing but the best in coming back from his horrific injury he sustained this year; however seeing how Steve Nash has performed at 38, and all the issues with his back, and Kobe coming off the WORST injury of his career, really makes me question whether paying Kobe 10 million after this contract is a good one. Remember that he has been in the league since 17, and has easily logged more minutes than any other current NBA player, due to his deep playoff runs. Life without Kobe must happen at some point in life. It's inevitable. It would be in the Lakers best financial interests for Kobe to retire after this upcoming season. Dr. Buss is dead, Phil is not returning to coaching. It's the end of an era. All good things...
