Kobe, don't be so obvious

Kobe, don't be so obvious

Postby lalfan on Sun Apr 28, 2013 8:20 pm

minutes after Dwight got ejected, Kobe showed up behind the bench. if he's in the arena already why he waited until Dwight left the game? from the way he dressed, it didn't look like he was just finished treatment, looked like he was ready to come out any time.

Bill Plaschke from LA Time asked Dwight this question, Dwight basically side stepped it, but i think it was a legit question. it was Kobe's calculated move to show the front office who's still the boss in this town. no doubt Dwight heard the roar when Kobe came out of the tunnel as well.

this season's failure has so many factors, poor coaching, bad mix of players, injuries. but it was doomed from the get go when Kobe kept reminding people this is his team when Lakers just acquired Howard and Nash (insecurity on part of Kobe may i ask?). Kobe has a fantastic year statistically, but this team rarely played as ONE.

Or maybe he was trying to inspire the team? The leader got tossed from the game. Maybe Kobe was thinking about giving the fans something to cheer for and maybe the players would raise their level of play.

Its is Kobes team, 5 rings with us. He is the man here and he will be till he retires. Every team has their leader, Kobe is ours, everyone needs to get over it. Sorry Dwight, Nash and anyone else, you havent earned the respect of LAL fans just yet. Not sure why everyone praises Kobe when he wins, and at the same time blame him entirely when we lose?
"We're in this together, Phil and me," he said. "I can't imagine looking over there and not seeing him waiting on me." -Kobe

Reading waaaaaay too much into this. How do we know Dwight didn't go in the back and ask Kobe to sit on the bench to give encouragement to the team? We've got enough drama on the team, don't invent it where it's not needed.

"Basketball reasons" is as believable coming from Mitch Kupchak as it was coming from David Stern. #IWantedPhil

Making something out of nothing again.. At this point, the best player on the floor was just thrown out while getting embarrassed by the Spurs yet again.

I think Kobe simply went out their for support and to try to light a fire under them.

who cares about this? once again the media trying to stir the pot

either it was just a coincidence or like someone said earlier, he wanted to give the fans something to cheer about since dwight had been tossed. the bigger deal is that dan tony is still head coach

Is that you Simers?
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

Maybe? No, this was certainly Kobe's intent.

Apparently this is why Dwight got ejected:

What's so bad about Dwight going out of his way to bring out the Kobester to a standing O?

I know. I suppose I should have put that maybe in italics. It was a sarcastic maybe.

Snake, I knew what you meant :man12:

I just wanted to emphasize the certainty of Kobe's intent....there should be no doubt about it.

Stupid. Kobe isn't nearly as shallow and calculating as people want to believe. He's a master of his artform, a millionaire many times over, a father and a man nearing a new phase in his life. He's heard so many MVP chants, he doesn't need to scheme and invent ways to get crowd reaction.

He came out because he thought his teammates might need a boost. Get the crowd into it, get his team into it.
