Shaq will be trimmer, meaner and more determined, but he'll also be wiser and a bit more mature. He knows that Kobe is probably the best player in the league and will continue to look for him like he started to last season.
The Lakers offense will still go through Shaq in the post and he will average 20+ ppg on open dunks and free throw alone, but he will pass out of the double team a lot more and with Karl & Glove spacing the floor, Kobe will have free reign to take his man one on one all night long. Kobe has so many tools to beat people with, he has to be the team's primary scoring option.
I don't think Kobe will score as much as he did last season, but he will lead the team, and Shaq's assists will increase with the talent he has around him and the opportunities that will create.
It's pleasing to see how much the Diesel has matured as a person & a player and I think we are yet to see his best when it comes to seeing just how much he can help his team win by using his awesome physical gifts to make his teammates better.
