The Lakers being the best, naturally get what they deserve. Dwight's destiny was to come here, like Shaq before him, Kareem before Shaq, and Wilt before Kareem....

As happy as I am...the one thing that gives me pause is some skepticism I have that Dwight is fully capable of embracing the legacy.

Awesome work as always EM!

I told Mike I thought we have a deal”

“He looked at me and asked ‘Who we’re getting?’”

“I said ‘Dwight.’”

“He said ‘Who is going out?’, and I said ‘Andrew’”

“He said ‘That’s all?’”

“I said, of course, “Josh, Christian, draft picks.’”

“He said ‘No Pau?’”

“I said ‘No Pau.’”

“And he jumped out of his chair and hugged me.”

Loved that. Nice touch. :jam2:

Lol poor Drew, yesterday it was Kobe indirectly saying we got Dwight for practically nothing, today it's Mike Brown saying "that's all?!" when told it was Drew for Dwight. :man10:

But, but, but Drew is better than Dwight!!!11!!1one!11!

I'm glad our FO was smart enough to know how much better Dwight is. I'm sure Howard will change the opinions of KeepBynum and revgen very quickly.

Is Bynum having a press conference or anything? Haven't heard much from him so far.

Drew's offense is better than Dwight's, so is his freethrow shooting.

However, Dwight's clearly the superior defender and athlete, and his offense isn't exactly chopped liver. All around, he's the better player.

Yeah I was going to post that too. But what Mitch didn't report from that private conversation and my inside sources have told me is that he then said to Brown, "One thing Mike....you run him into the ground again during the regular season and I will personally come down and kick your BLEEP." :man2:

I don't necessarily agree that Drew's better offensively (it's close), but I can see why someone would argue otherwise. I do think that Dwight's offense FITS better though, there's no doubt about that. However, revgen and KeepBynum's argument was that Dwight is not much better defensively than Bynum. That's quite laughable really.

I also don't think Bynum is better offensively than D12. Bynum has a better post game, but D12 is much better in the P&R. It really depends on which kind of offense you want to run primarily.

Yup. That's why I think Dwight's a much, much better fit for us. He primarily runs pick and roll while Bynum is more a back to the basket kind of guy. The thing is, all 5 guys can be involved even if Nash is running a pick and roll with Dwight. When Bynum posts up, the offense becomes stagnant and he kills the flow of the offence at times. It's hard to involve everyone when AB is posting up considering he's not a very good passer and is sometimes almost unwilling to pass the ball back out.

“Pau was never part of a deal this summer,” said Kupchak

“When it comes to a couple dollars or $10 million dollars and putting up another banner, he can’t help himself. He’s chooses to go for the banner.”

:jam2:

That's what the Lakers are all about :jam2:

I really hope that Mike is capable this year. Busses are spending lots of money on this team, and it would be a shame if Mike gets out coached in the playoffs again.

I understand that.... and agree to a certain extent..... but free throws ARE offense..... The gap there is real and verifiable ..........the rest is system dependent.....

True, no debate about who is the better FT shooter.
