There were times when the offense looked very pretty with great ball movement and player off the ball movement that led to easy baskets. However, Nash needs to be Nash way, waaaaaaaaay more frequently.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks there were some bright spots in our offense.

So many people want to throw this under the buss like there weren't times our offense looked great... ugh.

It's slow because they aren't comfortable yet. But that doesn't mean it's not a good offense. And when you think about what we had last season compared to this. Please. This is a massive upgrade and when it's all clicking this last game will be put far behind us.

you have Kobe Bryant who has like 30 million points, Nash with like 30 million assists, that beast Dwight Howard and here we are; talking about 'signs of life' on offense

this is a Lakers superteam....these headlines should be reserved for the NY Jets, not us

I did give O a pass due to being a new system and there were several plays that looked great but the D was disgusting.

run the princeton offense with blake-kobe-metta-gasol-d12
run nash ball with nash-meeks-ebanks-jamison-d12

so basicly use nash with bench+d12 more.

good read...

Maybe Nash hearing Brown say the offense is his and his to decide what to do will help him take control the way he has in the past.

A Nash centric offense with Kobe/Pau/Dwight/Jamison/Meeks/Hill is scary. The princeton should be the back up option and if that breaks down Kobe/Dwight/Pau/Nash and even Ron can go one on one....

I agree about the D. We are just letting teams run up the score. I do believe the O will take care of itself. I really do.

On D, however, we are just letting people drive around us at will. Gasol and Blake can't guard anyone face-up. They just can't. And all it takes is one little fake to create 5 feet of space for an open 18-footer.

More evident in pre-season, we were taking our eyes off our opponent and letting them cut to the basket for a dunk.

Our team D and help rotations are terrible, and it's glaring because Bynum is gone. Bynum was the best help defender I've seen on the Lakers in a long time (though he did get lazy last season). I think Dwight is still figuring it out, but you gotta just learn to trust your teammates.

Princeton offense is going to get MB fired.

Our team is not capable of running such an offense especially when we are an old team. There so much moving and running around and I don't think we can comeback from double digit deficits with this offense.

Takes too long.

The offense looked great last night for the most part. All we need to do is cut back on the turnovers, but really it had a MUCH better flow and the sets got guys set up a lot quicker than the first game. We still run into the occassional confusion where everyone stands still for an entire possession, but for the most part it looked good.

Part of that was Nash allowing himself to pick and roll every now and then. Kobe did that too. It looked much nicer.

Next step: reduce turnovers. By a lot.

Nash needs to say FU to Mike Clown & take over the offense, this stupid princeton offense is causing us way too many turnovers that lead into transition buckets for the opposing teams, and we are no good in transition D. Not only that, our defense is terrible, what happened to Mike Brown's defensive specialist sets?

I'm really getting sick of this idea that the Princeton is causing turnovers. The Princeton isn't causing turnovers any more than the Triangle could when we used that.

The turnovers are caused by confusion. The guys are not clear where they should be and that's going to take time. The great news is that when the guys started getting it, the offense looked great. And once the turnovers are reduced, we're going to be rolling.

I liked parts from what I seen from this offense. Quite frankly, everybody saying scrap the offense from analyst to fans are going to be saying how great it looks a month or so from now. Their is nothing wrong with it. Albeit, I was questioning it as well, but now I'm an advocate for these players to put the time in to see how this works out.

106 pts should win nearly every game for this team with 4 DPOYs and dozens of all-league D selections.

Clearly disjointed
The offense needs tweaking fast
Dwight, Nash, pick and roll

i agree the offense will be fine and isnt our biggest concern right now. we have a defensive minded head coach..and our defense is awful. as are the lineup rotations. both kind of point to one thing, no?

This I agree with. If you want to fire Brown for his mishandling of the players and the defense, I am totally with you. Those are two great reasons for concern and for firing the guy.

The offense though is not a reason to fire him.
