Amazing..... these two short statements elicit very strong emotions in me.... Excitement and overwhelming dread...

How about developing a Kobe Clone..... and no one better say Ebanks...... :man10:

Earl Clark then?

He's closer than Ebanks..... :man10:

Doesn't need to be a Nash clone.. As long as they can shoot & mesh with D'antoni aka run the P&R we'll have a good PG. I think Calderon could put up Nash stats with D'antoni.

i didn't say the player had to be HOF level he just has to be able to manipulate the defense in a way that nash does maybe not as good as nash but so that our philosophy doesn't change when nash is not in. Duhon isn't the answer because he doesn't look to attack the defense coming off the p&r he is so afraid he just wants to pass and
morris can't take care of the ball good enough. laugh all you want but DJO has the speed and finishing ability to make the defense make tough decisions also he has a workable outside shot.

There are two teams that play in the Staples Center:
the LA Lakers and NBA Clippers.

Suns already tied to clone and groom a replacement for Nash, he's now their starting PG.

And he's not too shabby either...

What's sad about Morris is that he's now playing with the best PG for him to learn and he's playing in a system that he should flourish in and instead he's turned into a SG...

Ugh.

As for this priority, whoever was up there was right^ : we need to focus on Howard more than the next PG. I have a feeling the next PG is coming here via trade/free agency. We need to focus on having Howard be the best he can be.

Although when I see him I see more of a Russell than a Shaq.

Plus, we already have an abundance of depth at PG anyway, no time to be developing other players. We have Blake and Duhon who can do an adequate job in the back up role.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think Blake is going to have his best season as a Laker when he returns.

Irving, Wall or Rubio will be the target, assuming they injuries haven't hurt them by that point in time. But if they all play at their potential and stay relatively healthy, we're getting one of those 3, so I'm not too concerned. Anyone of those 3 are franchise level point guards.

To be honest, as poor as LA has been at developing its own players (Bynum is probably the exception here; he developed one of the best post games in the league), LA's MO is in fact to pull of ludicrous signings and trades.

Imagine if we spent some time working on developing and evaluating talent like the Spurs do.
