Bit of pressure on the Lakers to put the Clippers down on Wednesday. Snap their winning streak, create some spread between them in the standings, take the season series and reassert themselves as Los Angeles' basketball team.

No reassertion needed. We are LA's team.

Clippers are hitting on all cylinders. Lakers are struggling against the Hornets and GSW. Winner of Wednesdays game wins the pacific imo.

Games to watch that may affect the West's playoff seeding:

OKC @ IND
MEM @ MIA
POR @ DAL
NOH @ SAS
PHX @ DEN
HOU @ LAL

At this point, I really don't care about the standings. I just want the Lakers to keep on winning going in to the playoffs so they have a good momentum.

Well, we are 3rd in the seedings right now. So, hopefully we get Dallas, Houston, or Denver in the first round. I think we match up favorably with all three of those teams. I'm hoping that Kobe starts to get some more rest. It would help if we can actually hold a lead. Either way, let's lock down this third seed and take it from there.

On another note, I really pray that the Clippers get the Memphis Grizzles. Memphis will bounce them out in six games despite who has home court in that series. Memphis is a bad matchup for almost every team in the conference, but it would be fun to watch Chris Paul & company exit in the first round.

It could be a silver lining in prepping them for the playoffs. They can hone their cohesiveness and focus off this gauntlet then take it to the postseason.

3rd seed will do. Would have loved to overtake the Spurs but doesn't look likely. Still hoping we beat them in the head to heads coming up and that will put some fear into them for the possible second round matchup. On paper we should matchup well. But we'll see. Also hoping that Dallas stays at the 6th for our first round match.

from listening to Mase/Ireland, Lakers are to maintain 3rd to avoid OKC till WCF if they get that far but now they could get them in the 2nd

Actually, SAS will overtake OKC. The Thunder are losing today. 15 losses. The Spurs have 14.

Okay, guess we should just drop to 4th seed then.

Never feared the Clippers winning over us to overtake us. However losing to others teams might. The League thru the Refs obviously have in it for us. they want a fresh team to win like in 2004.

I would love to see the Lakers meet the Clippers in the playoffs. Not only will the Lakers will win that series but no traveling involved so they'll be more rested for the next round.

Clippers play Sacramento at home tomorrow. The boys travel to Phoenix where they were ran off the floor the last time. Ick...

Clippers have remaining games at Memphis ,at OKC , vs OKC , at NY, at Hawks... not worried about the 3rd spot ...

There's no way the Clippers are going to overtake us. They also have some difficult games coming up, and they are not as good, frankly.
