Lakers: at SAS, vs OKC, at SAC; Clippers: vs NOH, at ATL, at NYK. If Clips win out, LAL get 3 w/2 W's. LAC lose 1, LAL 3 w/1 W.

One more Clipper loss, one more Laker win and we got the 3. We play two games before the Clippers play another one. We win Fri and Sun and we have a week long break before the playoffs start.

Next Clipper game is Sunday night vs the Hornets who have beaten the Rockets, Jazz and Grizzlies within the last week. Eric Gordon probably wants to drop 50 on these guys and Jason Smith will be there this time

Still not sure why we should be "happy" to finish 3rd ... don't think OKC will finish 1st ... we got to think further than a more difficult 1st matchup with the Grizz ... a 2 rounf matchup against OKC with a back 2 back is a no win situation

OKC or SA in the second is going to be equally as tough... Denver or Dallas in the 1st round is not the same as Memphis...

We match up better with SAS than OKC and I'd prefer playing a back to back against SAS than against one of the youngest and most athletic team in the league

I'll say this...one thing that OKC going against them is they got 3 superior one on one players only Harden is a real selfless player, if we can get just 1 out of the 3 off track we should be able to win the game. We cant give up easy points to scrubs like Sefalosha, Perkins and umm...Fisher.

They're both tough matchups...

Hey wcsoldier81, what do you mean by "back to back"? There are actually days rest between Playoff games unless there's something I'm not aware of this season...

^^ Yep! Whew. Timely Clippers loss for us, and good win last night at GS. Making our magic number 2 to clinch the 3 spot is great. 3 games left for each team.

Their Big 3 were like 10-39 at halftime in our last matchup and we were only up by 6 ... thing is their crowd and very biased officiating make it very hard to win on their homecourt ...and we have absolutely no answer for the Westbrook pick n roll ...

Their main weakness is the lack of offensive gameplan , it's basically 1 on 1 B-Ball for 48 mins (minus some screens for KD) and it hurts them down the stretch but we have yet to keep a game close against them ( though Pau foul trouble had something to do with it in the last game)

when the schedule was released , back 2 back games in the playoffs were qualified as "possible in the 2nd round" ... won't be surprised if there is one in each of the 4 Semi Finals series

If we could win @ SAS & @ OKC we will actually end up with a winning road record (17-16) which would be a real nice recovery after the horrible road record we got of to early on. We've actually gone 10-2 the last dozen road games. We haven't had a losing road record on any of the championship years since Phil.

we play @SAS but the OKC game is at home....our last game is @Sac...

HUGE win for the Suns tonight...they needed it and WE needed it....win tomorrow and Sunday and we can rest for the whole week and sit out everybody against the Kings. I hope the Lakers are thinking about this and i hope they ball outta control tomorrow and Sunday...cuz then we'll have to hope the Clippers lose one more game....and its definitely possible with away games against ATL and NY (both teams fighting for playoff positioning so hopefully they go HARD at the Clips)

That would be fine as long as Los Angeles Lakers were on the Playoffs.

So if the Lakers win @SA and lost to OKC at home, would OKC get the 1st seed?

No, basically OKC has to win out and hope that the Spurs lose two more games because SA owns the tiebreaker.

It's possible because Pop will more than likely still want to rest some of his players and their remaining schedule includes:

vs. Lakers
vs. Cavs
vs. Blazers
at Suns (This is where I think they could possibly get their 2nd loss)
at Warriors

sadly we will rely on the Clips losing than us winning.

I don't know if we can hold the 3rd seed...Thunder can blow us at home...and the Queens, against us they always want to win!Argggg

OK, well that sucked completely last night. We could have knocked SA down a bit in order to help send them to the 2 spot and face them instead of OKC in the second round. Instead we've really helped SA's bid for the 1 seed.

So . . . now we are clinging on to the 3 spot. It is absolutely imperative that we keep the 3. Otherwise we will face our two worst match ups in the first two rounds of the playoffs . . . that is, if we make it that far. We would face Memphis and OKC first and second. That sucks.

The double edged sword is a win against the Thunder on Sunday means we will almost certainly face OKC second round. We'll have to live with that though because we would probably face them anyway.

Regardless, we need to beat OKC Sunday to send a message to them. Forget the SAS loss. Just focus on winning the next two and trying to cement that 3 spot.

If the Clippers lose one more game I'm sure we can beat Sacramento to secure the third seed even if we were to lose against OKC.

Lakers can't seem to get anything done by themselves....relying on CLIPPER losses is not how i would want us to get the 3 seed.
