Small PG... Maybe a trade for Blake really is in the works. Otherwise I don't see why we'd waste our time.

:man3: He hasn't played in the league since '08/'09 and he was mediocre at best THEN, is rather sign a D-Leaguer like Lester Hudson or even take a chance on Selby.

no thanks. If we do trade blake it should be to give Farmar/Meeks more minutes. Not bring in an unproven small PG.

I doubt we bring this guy in anyway.

I think he was a projected option for the Lakers on the draft boards at the time, but Sac took him. I thought we would have taken him if he were still available. Seems like we can do better than that now.

Yeah, rumors had LA looking at Douby. He was good in college, a good defender, but he seemed to be too small and light to get it done in the NBA. I haven't heard about him in a few years.

I guess he averaged 32 points a game in the CBA last season, including record breaking 75 points in a regular season game and 53 points in a finals game. I used to really like him. A combo guard known for his shooting. Who knows? I guess he's worth a look.

He was a good prospect, but I have forgotten all about him and I'm sure most NBA teams have as well and for a reason. He hasn't amounted to anything in the NBA. If we're going to take a flyer on a guy like this, I'd rather bring back Glock.

No idea who he is and I doubt we sign him. But it's not going to hurt us to work him out and I'm actually glad we're doing our due diligence and scouring the overseas market for NBA talent to fill out the roster. We might luck out and find a guy who for whatever reason wasn't able to find the right fit early in their NBA career but has now matured and expanded their game. I feel like we'd be just as likely to get a good pick-up as our 12th-13th man going that route than we will if we just go with a Summer League/D-League player.

I have been following this guy since he left the Queens and he can shoot the lights out. Much better than Meeks.
But he is a true two and not a pt guard. Would be better off the bench and has great range. Probably enjoyed being the man in China.

my guess is that the Lakers are just exploring all their options. Just because we work him out doesn't mean he will get a training camp invite or anything like that. :man11: just ask all those players we worked out before the draft and didn't take.

I totally remember him--Kings fans hated his guts as he was part of a long line of high end 1st round draft busts they had in the late 2000s.

I don't see any point in making him a reclamation project--he's a 6'3" shooting guard who can't even get to the basket, shoot from deep or even pass the ball well for SG standards. The only thing I saw was that offensively, he had an OK mid-range shot...but that's the worst shot of the game.

Defensively is where he looks interesting, as the guy's actually able to pad a reasonable combination of steals, charges and even blocks, considering he's 6'3". But he'll need to be crossmatched, and if he's this awful offensively, it's not worth taking the flyer. Lester Hudson from our summer roster is better, for sure.
