Not so fast Morris has been playing better as well and the only reason we are playing Duhon is to trade him Blake too.

MDA won't go to 12-15 on the bench most of the time, but know that Kobe, Nash, Artest, and Gasol will miss some time this year. And it is ok to rest them on occassion on back to backs and long road trips --like Pop and Doc do all the time.

Waive Sacre. Sign Yi out of his cheap contract in China (bet MDA could do wonders with him -- much more than he did even with Frye, esp. with his speed and passing abilities next to Dwight).

Waive Clark. Sign Pietrus.

Waive DJO and sign Raja.

No we are not waving because he's Hill insurance, Pieturs won't sign for less, and finally Raja Bell doesn't deserve a Laker jersey.

Well..... If the Suns were considered a high pace team and the recent years Lakers have been considered a slow pace team then I expect MDA to try and find a medium pace that allows them to probe for easy transition baskets while adopting sets that run off high screens or P&R action as one or both of the bigs come lumbering down when nothing presents itself. It could possibly work due to the Lakers ability to rebound.... with quicker outlets they could probe transition opportunities leaking 1 or 2 guys out while the bigs get down at their pace ready for sets if nothing presents itself. It might not be like Showtime but it might create some easy baskets with the right combo of players at the 2 and 3 with a medium tempo of probing the break. Nash is smart enough to know when to push it and when to back it out and run sets..... Duhon I think will be used a lot as the primary back up. I can see them using Bryant at the 3 quite a bit and Artest AND/OR Jamison minutes at the 4 trying to spread the floor for Gasol/Hill P&R action with combo's of ball handlers in the middle of the key or for Nash to just probe the paint and create based on how the defense rotates for easy looks.

The Lakers as of late seem to be playing better defense since Brown's canning...... perhaps with some quick success early within MDAs quick uptempo system it will translate to the continued and increased effort on the defensive end while getting set.

The potential nightmare is his system having too many TOs/touches on the offensive end AND/OR him running a tight but exhausting rotation for the core.......... that would have the Lakers in big trouble and Phil smirking from Montana......

i want to see blake,morris,duhon,meeks and ebanks in d'antoni system first then if it is still same then go after delonte and pietrus
