Metta will play tonight vs New Orleans. Nash out (Pg. 3)

World Peace coming back so soon? It is surprising but how limited will he be on the floor at game speed? It's his last stand same as Gasol's.
No siggie...

Anyone that says they dont see what we are missing...

Kobe has not sat down in 4 games. Part of that has to do with Nash as well, but give the guy some credit.

Either way, we need him to beat San Antonio (we will if we make it) or Okalahoma.

GREAT NEWS! As much as Metta drives me nuts sometimes with his shot selection, his presence defensively will be welcome. He also gives us another man to run so bye bye 7 man rotation
A lot of us forget just how amazing these athletes are, they are just on another level physically, they are able to do things no normal person can do, including healing. Like that kid from Louisville that broke his leg, he had surgery and was on crutches the next day I believe?
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.
-Kobe on passing the ball to himself off the backboard.

Good thing he isnt on the Bulls, otherwise, he'd show up Rose (who is waitnig until he is 110% mentally "ready" to play).

Go Metta.

I feel the same way. Kobe will start at the 2 then when Ron gets subbed out Kob will slide up to the 3 and Meeks will play 2 off the bench. Then when it's time to give Blake a rest, Kobe will slide over to PG and either Ron or Clark will play the 3.

This is getting absurd.

When you're recovery time impresses Kobe (the man who plays through everything), then that says something. We need a miracle to win out to make the playoffs and I think MWP is that miracle. Our perimeter defense has been abysmal as of late, MWP will do wonders in that regard. Even if he's not 100% (say he's 80%), he's a million times better than Meeks on the defensive end of the floor. And who knows, maybe, just maybe MDA will rest Kobe 6-8 minutes a game with MWP able to cover for him. Time for the guys to rally around this and head to the playoffs where the Lakers belong.

The title misled me. For an honest second (I know it would've been dumb), I thought they had gotten rid of D'Antoni or something. That's what "Breaking News" and "He's back" will do to me lol

If that picture above is recent his leg looks pretty swollen. I just hope he doesn't suffer any setbacks, but I trust our team's medical staff if they approve him playing.

Well, quite frankly, it's better then Meeks starting; that much is for sure. However, when we're depending on Metta to save our season, I become worried. We'll see...

He's definetely putting the rest of his career on the line for us ... it's probably not a smart decision health wise , hopefully he won't reinjure himself as soon as he come back

OKC needs to do us a solid but I doubt it. We are D-O-N-E. Ron should just rest and opt out this offseason

Phil Jackson coming back would be a shot in the arm. Not MWP.

Does MWP matter? A look at Kobe's minutes:

Eight games up to Peace's injury:
Average 38.7
Low: 31.7
High: 43.8
Over 40: 2 times

Eight games since MWP's injury:
Average: 42.3
Low: 36.5
High: 47.6
Over 40: 5 times

Nah... That's just some random picture of someone getting an injection in the knee... Definitely not Metta.

Glad he's back although i HATE his shot selection and like others have said, this will allow Kobe a few more minutes of rest...but I think Kobe will still play upwards of 44-46 mins even with Ron back, and someone like Clark or Meeks will not play as much.

If we needed a miracle to make the playoffs ( idont know why ppl keep saying this...we're tied in the loss column and one loss by Utah and a win by us and we're back up), this was it. MWP coming back after having surgery what, like last week? That's insane.
