if it was about minutes alone, you could play Ebanks. Kobe is playing because we don't have anyone that can make a play for others and Nash is hurt. Its not like Artest comes in and we play without a drop in quality.

Playmaking? MWP is Steve Nash compared to Ebanks! It is surely a drop off, but it's something we can live with.

She said there's two types of treatments for the injury he had and they depend upon the severity of the damage.

The first is if there is a complete (or very large) tear of the meniscus. If that's the case the patient cannot use their knee for quite some time.

The second is if they simply removed damaged parts that are in the knee. If that's the case recovery can be very fast since the only real damage left in the knee is just the incision.

I'm not saying for sure that Metta got the latter, but it would certainly appear that way.

Anyway, I'm glad he's back. Kobe now gets about an extra 10 minutes of rest a game.

this.. just had my meniscus shaved.. if he had the same procedure its fairly quick recovery... i was walking on it after 2 days and running after 2 weeks... jumping and squatting is still a little tight.. and im pretty sure he will be sore afterward... but with his physical training team im sure he will be okay

This. Artest, even this old, beat the f*** up version, is better at basketball than any version of Devin Ebanks.

I don't expect too much from Metta, but I do expect him to get a couple of those momentum defensive stops that he can achieve using his left hand especially. Couple shots wouldn't hurt, just glad our rotation is not 7 anymore.

i'm not sure i care what happens, i just love metta. he frustrates me a lot, but the dude just wants to play and play hard. i see why kobe's always got his back. i think a couple days ago, i neglected to mention mwp as a member of the team who actually has a pair. probably because it was so obvious. as an aside, that was the only thing i liked about fisher at the end: true competitor. you can't teach this stuff; it's just in there or it isn't.

Yeah but those numbers are kind of misleading because Kobe's injury happened around the same time. And apparently, he had to play extended minutes because otherwise he'd have to play reduced minutes.

So while I do think Kobe is playing more because we don't have any other playmakers, he is also playing more because he, for a while at least, couldn't afford to sit on that ankle. (Well, not literally sit on that ankle, but you know what I mean!)
