One thing I always wondered with the whole 7 seconds or less offense the Suns had...

Is it 7 seconds as in score before the shot clock hits 17 seconds? Or 7 seconds once they crossed half court? I mean it usually takes us 7 seconds just to get the ball past half court :man10:

Dantony has said he doesn't know who came up with that idea(it was the author of the book). But all he cares about is getting a good shot before the 24 sec clock expires. Something that Clown couldn't fix.

When we aren't fast breaking (weird to say that around here), it looks like we are consistently getting good looks around 9-13 seconds left on the shot clock .

Before it was 1-5 seconds it seemed.

Me, too. I know that's been a little bit of an issue with DA that he really limits his rotations not unlike Brown. What we are seeing right now is really encouraging in terms of the bench guys coming in and delivering under Bernie.

It's funny, I thought when they brought Bernie on board this year it would be to straighten out Brown when he tried his ridiculous rotations. I actually thought that would be exactly his function is to talk sense into him regarding that. He was pretty darn quiet though during his whole stretch with Brown. Maybe he knew he just couldn't get through to him.

But, yeah, Bernie will still be here so hopefully he'll be able to whisper in MDA's ear re: subs. We've got a lot of guys who can contribute and I don't want to see an 8 man rotation. Especially given the age of some of our starters. We need to utilize the bench fully, something that Bernie's been right on about.

Pau's Laker debut was also against the Nets (in NJ). It was also the same game where Kobe got his pinky caiught in Kidd's jersey and suffered an "avulsion fracture".

Still seems like yesterday.

idk why but acquiring pau was the most excited i've ever been as a lakers fan. aside from the 09 and 10 finals wins

It's because we literally became instant contenders overnight. We traded Kwame for Pau.

We went from Kobe demanding a trade to the emergence/injury of Drew, to getting Pau, to getting to the Finals. One of the most odd turn of events in franchise history.

Man that summer and fall of Kobe's discontent was freaking brutal. Just knew he was going to be gone as sour as things were with him and the front office. Horrible time. To yeah....sunshine and and birds singing again.

Congrats to coach on his first game, first win. Funny enough we did it with defense in the end, "only" scored 95 points.
