Listening to Pringles' post-game interview on TWC right now...

Good God, I knew this half-wit was clueless, but not this clueless. :man3:

No evidence that he has any idea what's wrong or how to fix it.

Mike D'Antoni: "our offense is just ugly. It's not very good ball"

Still talking about offense after this game. Sure it wasn't sound but we're not going anywhere with our defense as bad as it is with the breakdowns we have every few minutes.

Talk about the wrong coach and the wrong system for the existing roster.

Way to go, Jimmy - you're a genius! :man3:

One of the stupidest coaching hires of all time. Could have had Phil, took this clown. Hell I'd have been happy continuing to roll with Bernie until they did an actual search for a long term coach that was the truly best fit. But no, they hired the 2nd guy they talked to, didn't interview other good available guys like Shaw and Sloan, it's a joke and it angers me at this point because it shows poor judgement by the men in charge, jumping to quick decisions.

I agree; however, no brilliant coaching can or could have fixed this crap.

I actually think that a great coach could have done a ton for this team. Mike 'Antoni was hired what, 10 games in? You hire a great coach way back then and maybe we do turn it around, we certainly looked night and day better when Brown was gone and Bernie was coaching, even if against crap teams we were still winning.

Serena Winters ‏@SerenaWinters

I find it extremely disconcerting that D'Antoni's placed blame on offense and players blame defense. Clearly not on the same page.

Even the game we lost against the Spurs... we looked like a good team.

Sure, we might have been better relative to where we are today--is that saying much though.. being .500?

Knowing what we know now, in my opinion, I don't think Phil, Sloan, JVG etc., would have elevated us that much to meet our expectations. This goes beyond D'Antoni or whoever else could have been at the helm of the team. If other teams can win with lame duck coaches there is no reason we should be sucking this hard.

We were expecting championship.. and now... well who knows what since we don't even have a first round pick.

None of this is to say that D'Antoni hasn't sucked because there have been plenty of red flags now.

We'd be a WAY better team. If we had just kept Bickerstaff as our coach we would be better. Bickerstaff had the guys playing well. D'Antoni has his system crap and it's sucking and it's ruining this team. It's going to get even worse, but obviously Jimmy Buss made the decision to hire this clown while slapping Phil in the process and he's getting burned for it.

I do agree there are a lot of issues with the players, chemistry, age, and more, but I still feel like a great coach is good enough to pull a team together. Look at the Nets, they suuuuucked under Avery, they fired him and went on a huge winning streak. Look at the Knicks last season, 'Antoni left and they got wayyyy better. The coach matters, the message he preaches, the way he deals with the players, brings them together, inspires them, it matters. And I personally think 'Antoni is a joke, he commands zero respect, he just wants to be buddy buddy with everyone and a lot of the time he has no idea what he's doing, he comes across as very immature, always saying "I don't know you have to ask them/him". Stupid answers.

I agree with you all that we would, to some extent, be better. But I just don't think Phil or whoever else would have 180'd this ship to meet our championship aspirations as some may think.

btw fkmikebrown what about fkd'antoni or something :man1:..
