EL OH EL. :man10:

Is that a joke? :man10: Maybe the orders to tank are coming from the FO now, because that's possibly the worst starting lineup we've had all season. Meeks at the 3, because....? What does this mean when Farmar gets back, he's backup SG, or is that Marshall? :man11:

Good stuff. More losses are going to stack up in a hurry.

And I wanted D' Antoni fired sooner than later. Stupid me. No coach could possibly come up with more horrid lineups (except Mike Brown) and we need to keep in the hunt for a top 7 draft pick.

I just wanted to be rid of this idiot for good as soon as possible, but now I really see the importance of keeping him until the end of this interminable, forgettable and regrettable season.

If at the beginning of last year you were told that this would be the starting line up at this point this year and no further information was given what would your reaction be?

Yeah, sure Young and Johnson can both play the 3, Kelly and Hill have the 4 covered, and Sacre and Kaman are pure centers, but who cares let's play Meeks at the 3. Sure, Blake and Meeks could split time at the 2, and sure we have Nash and Marshall at the 1 and Farmar will dress and probably be available, but let's play Meeks at SF.

Quite honestly, this is absolutely a dream lineup for Mike Antoni. This is what he's been waiting for. Three guard lineup with a shooting big at the 4 and just a guy who will hustle at C.

Maybe the Lakers FO really knew what they were doing. No one could accuse them of tanking on purpose because this is EXACTLY how Antoni wants it!! :man10:

You guys have it all wrong. D'Antoni is all about innovation. The stretch 4 is so yesterday. I think tonight he invents the stretch 3.

feels like Antoni is doing the "F it and I'm just gona do it cause I can and for sh....t and giggles" cause he knows mgmt. can't get rid of him anyways :man10: ...If I'm mgmt., I'd have Kaman and Antoni take some time off and go ice fishing together as a coaching/player bonding time. You two are haters. Coach D is ahead of his time. He will play the Stretch Team which never actually crosses the other side of the court except to take the ball out. All shots will be taken from 30-35 feet within 1 second of the shotclock. The Lakers will get 180 shots a game and thus win more. Its so crazy it just might work. :jam2:

Nice job starting out Wesley at the 4 vs. the frickin' Pacers dips***. It worked out beautifully. Wesley with two fouls before the fans had a chance to sit down.

I completely agree with Pau here, as I already said in the other threads. I don't know how much is on MDA, and how much on the front office and the whole "audition" concept -- but don't completely alienate your players in the process. Just play people at their normal positions and ask them to play regular basketball. But don't ruin that little chemistry you have right now.

I loved hearing him say that. He also said if they're gonna play small they have to play smarter basically. And when it was brought out to him that Wes Jonson will be guarding Zach Randolph if he's starting, Pau pretty much rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders, you could see in his face he's over 'Antoni.

And in line with this, you're not truly auditioning guys if you're giving them the green light to do whatever they want. Sure Bazemore can get 23 points if he gets 19 shots. Audition them in a team ball setting, to see how they play then, within a system, with 'discipline', because that's how they're gonna need to play on a good team with Kobe back as role players. What can they do with limited shots in realistic minutes.

I said the other day that Coach D has lost this team. We look like a pick up team out there with no idea of how to make great plays for each other. Team ball has gone to hell

This is the way, I look at it...we want to lose to secure a good draft standing. But you don't want to play wasted basketball. I'm looking up and down the roster and I wouldn't be comfortable paying any of those guys MLE type money (5M)...maybe except for our frontline players.

There's just free reign out there cause everybody is a free agent looking to cash in. How can you construct an identity that way. How can you play team ball and build towards next season, playing like this? You really can't.

So why is MDA employed again? Cause he knows how to lose and secure those ping pong balls...uh, PSA for the Lakers FO, you can get any of us on CL to coach this team to the magnificent losses we've been accumulating and at a fraction of the cost too.

He's lost the team...he's lost our winning identity (in the Buss Sr. era, I've seen members compile lists of bad coaches, but have any of them run a team so far into the ground as to capture a record setting 7 consecutive home losses in LA?)....MDA has lost us 2 seasons now....and the Lakers FO have lost their mind in first hiring him over better candidateS (plural) and then having the gall to defend that decision.

Guess the next thing to lose is the fan base, unless that hasn't already happened.

Fire MDA, bring in an interim coach (like Rambis) that can lay some groundwork for the new guy a la Hamblen leading up to Phil after the RudyT firing.

Call in all potential candidates and know that the job is available and what type of philosophy they want to impose on these players....and start enforcing it now. Don't let this be another wasted season with nothing to show for it, other than a draft pick. Lay a foundation and see which of our future potential FAs is worth keeping. Cause if this continues, I seriously wouldn't bring back any of them...not a one.
