even if we win the 'ship or go undefeated in the playoffs, I still want this ***** gone
And this right here ladies and gents is ignorance at its finest.
Is MDA the greatest coach in the world? Absolutely not. We don't need him to be. The fact is that DESPITE all our devastating injuries and tumultuous season we have made plenty of progress and are now in the 7th seed ready to face a team we may be able to get past. Mitch is spot on, mike has adjusted his philosophy many times throughout the season, and has made the moves necessary to help us achieve this turnaround we've had.
What I truly cannot understand are those who say we win IN SPITE of him. These are the same people saying we have a flawed roster. So we have a flawed roster, a bad coach, and yet we finish the season winning nearly twice as much as we lost and have momentum going into the playoffs
Maybe he's not the biggest reason for our success but the facts are he's still a cause. Even if it's a small one. Besides, letting him go isn't just financially impossible, it would be disastrous to our team chemistry and would stunt any kind of progress we made heading into next year. I think some need to realize the bigger picture of MDA staying on board at least for a few more years.
He's far from a perfect coach, everybody knows his flaws, but right now we really don't have a better option.
Before long, someone recognized Phil Jackson sitting in the front seat, and then the rocks began to fly. Revelers pelted the bus and shook it, mocking the Lakers at their lowest moment.
“It was painful,” Lakers forward Pau Gasol(notes) said. “It is a feeling that I want to keep in my mind for every single minute that I’m out there playing them.”
