Bad shot selection...
It would definitely better if we kept Ariza that time

I know d'antoni is pushing had for bell, it's not much but better than Ebanks or Clark

Shoulda hit air France if he was willing to come here for cheap

It literally takes two seconds to go to ESPN, Yahoo, NBA, etc. to look at MWP's shooting % and Ariza's shooting % and see that MWP (41%FG, 39% 3PT) >>>>>>>> Ariza (35%FG, 25% 3PT)

60% of MWP's shots are 3's, compared to Ariza's 25% for Ariza.

Not to mention 'Antoni is telling MWP to shoot more, and we probably don't have our 2010 championship if we didn't sign him.

Ariza's only real success in this league was with us during that one season. He is a very limited player actually. A healthy and motivated MWP is a better player..... even at his current age.

Ron has been really quiet these past few games. And I don't mean quiet as in putting sub-par numbers, but vocally quiet. He doesn't really celebrate after making threes, blowing kisses to the fans, or kissing his biceps after a monster slam (he's had a few) or even talking to his team mates after a time out or during a free throw shot like he always does. Is it just me? Or does anyone feel the same way?

when asked if he thought the lakers are still the best team in the NBA:
"of course, look at that roster"

not that i expect him to flat out say no, but this "paper champs" attitude ain't healthy.

Interesting moment with Chewbacca stirring the old Ron Ron to reemerge. :man10: Not sure he really wanted a piece of that. Serge cocked his arm back at that one point - I think the league should take a look at that.

Royce Young: KD was just asked who he'd take in a cage match between Serge Ibaka and Metta World Peace. Seriously. His answer though: "I'm taking Serge."

LOL sorry KD. MWP is crazy, Serge may be bigger but he doesnt have a chance. DJ Mbenga could whoop Serge too.

Ron didnt let Durant go off. Ebanks let him go off to start that second quarter. Durant was in check. Ron sat to start the second for 6 minutes, and in that time Ebanks have him a breakaway dunk, layup, open jumper, and free throws.

After that, you are asking MWP to come in and be a fire blanket. Dantoni corrected said mistake in the second half and kept him on the floor to match up minutes wise with KD, but it was a bad decision to not sub Ron out when kD was and then sub him in that second quarter right then. Ebanks lit the fire, Ron had to put out what he never ignited.

21 mins tonight. IDK why....i mean everyone came out with NO energy and effort on D...but he and dwight are our teams defensive backbone and i really thought that, as well as meeks was playing, he should have been in and maybe gotten the defense going. He was also shooting VERY well and made some timely baskets for us. He should have been out there getting some steals and strips and helping on D when Kanter or Milsap were killing us.

Could have ignited this team or something like he always does with a single play.

Wish we could have seen a Meeks/Kobe/MWP/Hill/Dwight lineup while Duhon was resting just to see what could happen. When youre a coach and youre team has NO energy on D for the entire game why not try something to get them going together. idk just wondering why he played so little when defense was the problem not O

Dude needs to stop being distracted by his music career. He dropped a new single today so that may be the reason he didn't really bring the energy last game. Mind just wasn't there.

Side Note: Represented (his new single) isn't half bad.

Ron is a streaky shooter; his jumper is on/off. He's not as quick laterally anymore so you can blow by him. Ron's advantage is his quick hands and using his strength to body up and wear down the SF's he guards. I hope he has a big trip. We need him...

His confidence that he had early in the season seems to be shaken... I don't know what happened...

It doesn't look like he's having any fun out there at all right now. I'm guessing he's wondering why he's not a bigger part of the offense with both Nash AND Gasol out.

It's not just him from what I see, almost nobody out there looks to be having fun. Kobe and Dwight to my eyes don't seem to love eachother, always pointing fingers when a layup is given up, Dwight always shaking his head in frustration. I just don't see a lot of chemistry all around on this team.

Agreed. I don't think there's necessarily a lack of love, but just a palpable frustration. Why isn't this working? Well here's why! No this is why!

They've all got to have one of those fluffy sit downs and get all the crap out at once. That way we can get back to focused basketball. Kobe needs to take some f***ing responsibility and Dwight needs to play with more anger. More aggression. We all saw what he could do against Denver. Do it every f***ing night. Too much [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] around.
