What the hell? :man10:

Also major props! to him for giving up the ball to Nash on the fast break. That made my jaw drop.

^ :man10: Same here. I was saying to myself "Turnover in 3-2-1 :man4: ... holy ****!!! he passed it and didn't turn it over or get blocked by the rim"

He did much better down the stretch than he did in the first half of the game. Couple triples and a couple successful visits to the paint.

D'Antoni said the doctors were looking at MWP's foot/ankle right now. Not sure exactly what's wrong yet.

The 3's I can live with, he has shown that he can hit them when needed in crunch time. The fastbreak s*** has got to stop though.

Good thing we have that backup....

Nevermind there's no one behind MWP on the depth chart.

His missed trey and the layup disaster really hurt us late, but I'm not going to pin the loss on him. It was a team effort and his 10 4th quarter points that he punched in up to that point were huge in getting us within striking distance.

I blame D'Antoni for allowing him to drive the ball like crazy on the open floor the way he does, never works.

doesn't matter what he did up to that point. that botched layup killed us and erased any good. just KILLED any chance of winning. pull the ball back, get it to nash or kobe, set something up, who knows what would have happened. but no, typical metta. such an unnecessary and foolish decision.

Can someone please tell Metta & D'Antoni to have Metta give up the ball to a guard on the fast break. While we're on the too much Metta dribbling topic, it be nice to see him stop trying to create of the dribble as well. When Metta does both of these 98% of the time it don't work out. Since Metta obviously not gonna stop, it'd be nice to see the so called coach make it stop.

He needs to sit, theres nobody on the Hornets he can guard. We beat them already with him providing little to no contribution

Hes shooting 25% in 28mins vs NOH this yr

He is literally out of control. I believe the guy is a winner in spite of his absolutely idiotic decision making. He hits big shots because he's a winner. But then he makes some of the dumbest decisions I've ever seen anyone on the court make.

He needs to be benched at this point in his career.

That fast break, Durant didn't even bother to chase him down and defend the shot. He walked up behind a sprinting Artest and just took the easy rebound off the glass. He didn't have to even think about it.

If we can't trust him to make the right decisions, he can't be in the game late. It's that simple.

Kobe will let him have it.

Can't discount his contributions to this team. Easy to forget when we have Kobe. And a bunch of other players who have a "prettier" game.

And until we can get someone of equal caliber on both ends of the floor, we're going to have to live with Metta. I wouldn't mind us keeping him on the bench for dirt cheap after his contract.

We scored 105, I find it hard to blame the loss on anything related to offense. I have no problem blaming giving up 122.

you're probably right about that. but when talking from a moment-to-moment opportunity to stay in and win the game perspective, that's the one that broke the back of the team. you could literally see the deflation. it's not like he took a shot within the offense where he was open and it just didn't happen to go in. this was a completely preventable mistake, and he made a stupid decision that served as the first of many nails in the coffin.

Unfortunately, that seems to be one thing he will never learn from. Metta run fast break alone, Metta won't score, rinse & repeat.
