That last rebound was on him for not boxing Horford out :bang:
I should get an assist for that. It's an intentional pass to oneself, so it's an assist. That way people can't say all I do is shoot.

Metta World Please amnesty in the offseason so we can get a competent SF that can knock down a 3 pointer when wide open.

The SF position has to be adressed in the upcoming offseason .. he's a huge offensive pb in the starting 5 and can't space the floor for Nash, Kobe and D12

WTF you're even spewing your usual crap about Kobe in MWP's thread......!! Did you miss the 3rd quarter when after no one else, including Kobe himself was hitting anything to catch us up to Atlanta, that Kobe single handedly did that? Guess that part never counts with you, only the shots you don't like. I thought maybe you had changed your ways with not much of this B.S. over last couple weeks or so, finally appreciating the man. WRONG. But instead you just lie in the weeds to say all the same bleep again at the first chance of a sub par game from him. Pathetic.

he had a lot of good drives that he did with purpose. but he cant miss that many open 3's and that blown easy layup was a killer for us. and in the end down 2, he and dwight have to box out and get the rebound but instead they looked to not even try and ended up getting boxed out. a put back there by either him or dwight would have tied the game and that should have been a point of emphasis on that play by him .

this is how I view MWP when it comes to his 3pt shooting....
He was once asked why he shot so many 3s, and he responded "because there are no 4s.

^When World Peace is on balance and settles himself with a couple of dribbles, he has good results or at least the shot isn't funky trajectory wise. Last Sunday during the second half was a good evidence of this. He is just not the catch and shoot type. Another thing too is now he will get chances on the low block and punish defenders. World Peace has to pick his spots well with Howard in the paint and now Gasol too.
Nor can the Lakers get blamed for always making the right decisions over decades. At some point its not just luck or "gamble", its superior management and superior ownership.

Stellar game from MWP. He carried us in the 3rd and kept us in it with 11 points in the quarter. His activity levels on both ends were extremely high. He was playing with playoff intensity, it seemed like. He knew the importance of this game -- no Kobe (after the 1st), Dwight in early foul trouble, and Nash was off to a sluggish start so he really picked up his game. I thought he was great on the glass. He only got credited for 7 rebounds, but it seemed like he had his hand in another 5-6 boards. Hell, even on the last play of the game he was still going for a steal.

Destroyed David West out there :jam2: and did great job on O, getting Paul George in foul trouble.

Lots of scoring, but his best play was when he apparently stole snacks from Kobe during a timeout when Kobe was eating on the bench.

MWP is so weird. You never know what to expect. In one game he does brilliant things, and then incredibly stupid things etc. I still like the guy.

Held him to 4/13 and visibly annoyed him cause I saw that pouting face on West nearly every time down the court.

Great game on both ends. Kept us alive in the 3rd with his scoring and did a superb job on West.

It usually tapers off closer to the playoffs and we see Ron get into my-brain-is-semi-functional mode. Hopefully it starts soon as in tonight was a good start point.

I hope this game buys him some good will around this place for way too many people here eager to have him gone and thinking he is of zero value to us. Let us know when you find the 1st string small forward that can replace him and do better with the terrible situation the new CBA has put us in. So glad we still have this talented Hulk on the team. Warts and all.

IMO he's Indy's best player (George is too inconsistent and seems to fade a bit in big games), a very solid PF, plays great on the block and on the pick and pop. You'd think, with our usual defensive issues plus Dwight in foul trouble, that he would've killed us, but no, MWP completely took him out of the game.

he put the load on his back and really was aggressive on both ends. he played very well on west and was doing pretty well in the paint draw fouls and hitting some jumpers. good game and good to know he can step up when kobes out
