Pretty good, and thats when he finally dropped the weight and was in shape. Now he looks leaner and most likely faster so I am excited to see him next season!

Yeah, I mean that's not terrible. Especially for your 5th option. I don't think he'll see that kind of point total every night because during this month he averaged over 11 shots a game. But if he can maintain those percentages at 7-8 shots per game, I think that'd be gravy.

Yeah, I mean you've got to account for rhythm. Ron has maintained that it's been difficult for him to do things offensively here because he's really not a catch and shoot player. Offensively he likes to get into a rhythm and play for himself a bit. I think if he's more aggressive on the court, he'll be fine. I don't mind him attacking the basket or taking those weird midrange shots as long as it's reasonable and within the scope of the offense.

I agree! I feel like we are also gaining a new player for this season since Ron was so bad for 80-90% of the season and really just lit it up towards the end.

I'm definitely hopeful. He looks like he's in terrific shape and we all saw what he was capable of later in the season when he was cut down like he is now. I think he's going to surprise some people. It may not always translate to the box score, but the things he provides defensively are unique in the league. Not to mention, when he's lighter he goes at the rim more... appropriately let's say.

Can never expect anything less from Ron these days.

An in shape Ron who's knocking down 3s would make us have a legit Big 5. Not because I expect him to play like an all-star, but because teams would already have their hands full with our other starters so by default defenses will neglect Ron as if he's Jason Collins.

Hopefully he can make them pay.

i think ron with nash will be better than we expect. the guy shed major weight, got his back thing fixed, and looks really healthy. i think he'll give us 10ppg and the 3 ball will be close to 40% but most likely mid to high 30's.

I think he'll be cutting alot to the basket and if nash finds him he can just use his ridiculous strenth and over power most SF's or at least get fouled. also with all the all stars surrounding him, mwp is the only guy the opposing team can double off of. they'll have to take their chances with mwp and i think he'll make them pay. guys got pride and if people dont respect him and his game he'll make them regret it.

he should a lot of great things in april and i expect even some fast breaks with nash followed with a dunk...minus the elbow after of course.

MWP will be a huge boost for us offensively now and also now that he's lost a ton of weight and is super healthy i think his defense will be elite again and his gain that foot speed he was lacking last year. he still play pretty great defense last sea on...so now that he's lighter and fast BUT still just as strong i think itlll be awesome.

now that ebanks is the back up we have to guys to throw at durant who can definitely bother him with mwp's strength and great defense; or ebanks length athleticism and good defense as well.

MWP is gunna be the 5th option on our starting 5 and is still a great player capable of changing games with a single play defensively or offensively. i like the guy and glad we didnt get rid of him bc he'll be a huge boost for us

Ron's target for 3 FG% should be 37%. That's what I am hoping for cuz he'll be open....ALOT.

I think so too. Realistically, everything over 35% would be really good for this team. He's going to be open more then usual. He better hit some threes when playing with Nash/Kobe/Gasol/Dwight. Man, that starting 4 is absurd. I expect to see Metta waiting in the corner a lot.

I mean damn, when your 5th guy is Metta World Peace, the defensive game changer and big shot hitter... that team is just absolutely built. Just insane.

I think he'll shot 36% from 3 at least. Here's why: last season, after January (when he was in better shape), he shot 34.3% from 3. Not a great number, but shows that he can still stroke it. He shot close to 39% in the playoffs (only 6 games). The two seasons prior to the last, he shot 35.6% and 35.5%. I think it's safe to assume that with more open shots, being in the best shape he's ever been in his Laker tenure, shooting in rhythm, Nash delivering pin point passes, having a better flowing offense, knowing WHEN to shoot and shooting with confidence (our guys looked unsure last season if they should launch a shot or not, maybe in fear that Kobe would yell at them), we will see an increase in the 3pt shooting of MWP. I'm not expecting 40%, but I don't think it's a reach to expect 36%+.

I can't remember how many times we had an open player who had to break their rhythm to catch a pass (guys in the corner jumping up to catch a pass, guys bending down to catch a low pass, having to step to the side to catch a pass). Something small like that can dramatically affect one's shooting performance. I know this certainly applies to me when I play ball. There were also times where players passed up on open shots (see: Troy Murphy) because there was no flow to the offence and guys didn't always know when to shoot or when to pass. I don't think that will be a problem this season with Nash orchestrating. I know MWP isn't a great spot up shooter, but I do think 36% is in the realm of possibility will all the factors I mentioned. Of course, it doesn't always work out, but I'm hopeful he can be a good enough shooter to not be a weakness.

MWP is gunna be a boss. I want Indiana Artest defense and a 3 point shot you dont have to cringe everytime he shoots it...i want to know its going in like i felt towards the end of the season when he was balling. during that time, i knew his shot was going in for some reason...you could just tell. i cant be the only one who felt that
