To say he's been off the last couple of games would be terribly off. He's been horrendous.

And that's including the NY game he was so dominant in

This team goes as Ron goes I think. Pau just needs to be aggressive we all know that. Dwight needs to hit his freethrows. But the key of the team I think is Metta. When he is hitting his shot and attacking the basket.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

I was very glad to see MWP have a bounce back game. That sequence where he just suffocated Gallinari on defense was amazing to watch. He really is the heart of this team, hopefully he can be more consistent with this style of play once again. :jam2:

You know, Ron isn't particularly quick on his feet, but he can still make plays like that ... so being slow and old, I don't think is an excuse for the other Lakers to play NO defense.

I sure hope you're wrong. Besides this game, his last 5 games statistically have been atrocious. Actually, he was still 5/13 this game and took a couple of shots that were questionable. He's a rhythm player, obviously. Some night he has it shooting and others he doesn't offensively.

We need another SF badly. Younger, more athletic, etc. I knew this would be a problem this year. I've been advocating for a NBA starting caliber SF since last year...

Probably. But is it really so :man10: for someone to get lit up by (arguebly) the league's best scorer? :man3:

^ Exactly. OKC does a great job of getting Durant free off of screens which just so happens to be the perfect way to shed Artest.

Artest will do everything in his power to make him work, that's all we can ask.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter
Metta World Peace suffered a contusion to his groin the other night, but will start vs OKC. May guard Durant less than usual, though.

Perkins and Ibaka are always setting illegal screens. That always hurts us

And even if Pau is back tonight (which I havent heard confirmed) Perkins has routinely ABUSED Pau through his career. :man5:
