we already knew he can't defend these types of players who can take him off the dribble, the only good thing he does on D is guys who try to out muscle him.

Unfortunately, he has a team option on his contract next year which he'll exercise. I've tried to be patient with him; it just isn't working.

Lets be clear here he got torched in the fourth, but two things aren't his fault

1 - he didn't get Beasley hot. Clark defends SFs, Metta spent most his time on Scola. You ask a guy to be a fire blanket because Clark got him burned

2 - that gw layup was perfect d, he made the catch hard, stripped him, made him bobble it, go against the clock, and led him to the big, I'm sorry Pau has to swat that

Pau and Metta if we cant move these guys then reduce their roles and responsibilities. They cant be counted on late in the game during critical stretches. They are the supposed 2 time champs but they play like chumps. Make too many dumb mistakes, cant defend, cant convert open opportunitites. Not reliable at all for anything

Imagine if that was Mike Dunleavy, Jared Dudley, Battier, etc. in the corner tonight. They would of had a career night.

Yes, I'm indirectly saying that we need to trade Pau for a player like that as a part of bigger package of role players.

dude gota go, this offense is hazardous to his play, he's basically been given the green light to chuck as he pleases, it was pretty dam obvious he was left open. Even an avg. baller would recognize, "hey, how come I'm always open at the 3pt line?" how bout you try stepping in a bit genius.

MWP, you play D, you work hard, you're a likeable guy. But please, grow a brain. Stop chucking so many shots. If you get hot, fine, but man... that was not good.

List of dumb mistakes he has been repeating all season long :

- Get the defensive rebound , try to push the tempo with his poor speed and handles instead of passing the ball to Nash
- NEVER passes on a 2 on 1 fastbreak
- Brick a wide open 3 , we get the offensive rebound , let's immediately chuck another long J .

+ Inconsistent D

we really need to move him and Pau for a younger less dumber SF that can actually hit wide open shots on a consistent basis and or is smart enough to realize his 3's aren't falling so I'll try something else as for Pau, meh just give me an athletic big who has a motor ala Hill doesn't even have to have the skill like Pau.

Not like we didn't know what we were getting into when we signed him. MWP is either really good or really bad. There usually isn't a common ground. Most of the time when he's playing he's trying to do too much...but sometimes it works out. The 02-05 Ron tho...that man was a beast.

For his entire career, consistence never exists.
He could still get 18+ ppg, several rebounds, assists on a starless team. E.g. 2008 -2009 Rockets.
But man, u asked him to be a shooter?

I dont think the team is asking him to be a shooter, he's settling for it and it doesn't help the fact that the opposing teams leave him open and we help that matter by passing it to him. That doesn't mean he can't do other things with it once he gets the ball, he could try to drive in, dribble in a bit and take shorter jumper, you know basic things if your shots aren't falling. Peace is playing the Marion role when Antoni was therein Pho and I dont recall him just chucking away even at his best, he found didn't settle for constantly jacking up 3's.
