And Beasley of all people torched him pretty good in the 4th. No screens, nothing . Straight up 1 on 1 defense and he got owned. This is what I was talking about. hes being put in situations that is supposedly his forte and hes not getting it done

i kinda don't like MWP these days. his defense isn't nearly as consistent as it used to be...and his offense is as inconsistent as ever. WIDE OPEN 3's....brick after brick. he's stumbling/bumbling and turning the ball over. i just don't like it.

i dont understand him some times. plays really well then really bad the next. he started shooting alright and was at 50% at one point but then just missed everything. then turnovers bad passes could catch a cold. just a bad game but him. defense at the end was good at denying beasley but then got beat everytime and with pau in the middle its a lot different than dwight.

Trash player that is only useful for making wide open threes occasionally. Other than that he doesn't do anything except lower the overall IQ level of our roster.

He hasnt been a good player for quite a while now..we can get angry with him but its more to do with the fact that we have zero options right now to replace him.

He hasnt been an above average defender for a good time and every time he puts the ball on the floor, you hold your breath.
And to top it off, extremely streaky for outside.

Diamond of a player.

According to his logic, the best team won. It's not because of his 3 consecutive wide open missed jump shots in the fourth or letting Beasley go on a run.

we already knew he can't defend these types of players who can take him off the dribble, the only good thing he does on D is guys who try to out muscle him.

Unfortunately, he has a team option on his contract next year which he'll exercise. I've tried to be patient with him; it just isn't working.

Lets be clear here he got torched in the fourth, but two things aren't his fault

1 - he didn't get Beasley hot. Clark defends SFs, Metta spent most his time on Scola. You ask a guy to be a fire blanket because Clark got him burned

2 - that gw layup was perfect d, he made the catch hard, stripped him, made him bobble it, go against the clock, and led him to the big, I'm sorry Pau has to swat that

Pau and Metta if we cant move these guys then reduce their roles and responsibilities. They cant be counted on late in the game during critical stretches. They are the supposed 2 time champs but they play like chumps. Make too many dumb mistakes, cant defend, cant convert open opportunitites. Not reliable at all for anything

In the middle of the fourth quarter MWP missed 3 three-pointers in a 49-second span.

Also Ariza never took more than 13 shots in his 2 season with us

Smart plan. Watch the same plan implemented for the foreseeable future.

Plan #2. When D12 is not on the floor, get to the paint at all costs.

Imagine if that was Mike Dunleavy, Jared Dudley, Battier, etc. in the corner tonight. They would of had a career night.

Yes, I'm indirectly saying that we need to trade Pau for a player like that as a part of bigger package of role players.

Toronto has a HUGE logjam in the perimeter...Rudy Gay, Terrance Ross, Demar Derozan, Landry Fields, Alan Anderson, we need to get on this and get a couple of these guys

Agreed. Too bad Calderon got traded; I would have wanted Lowry.

dude gota go, this offense is hazardous to his play, he's basically been given the green light to chuck as he pleases, it was pretty dam obvious he was left open. Even an avg. baller would recognize, "hey, how come I'm always open at the 3pt line?" :man3: how bout you try stepping in a bit genius.

MWP, you play D, you work hard, you're a likeable guy. But please, grow a brain. Stop chucking so many shots. If you get hot, fine, but man... that was not good.

List of dumb mistakes he has been repeating all season long :

- Get the defensive rebound , try to push the tempo with his poor speed and handles instead of passing the ball to Nash
- NEVER passes on a 2 on 1 fastbreak
- Brick a wide open 3 , we get the offensive rebound , let's immediately chuck another long J .

+ Inconsistent D

we really need to move him and Pau for a younger less dumber SF that can actually hit wide open shots on a consistent basis and or is smart enough to realize his 3's aren't falling so I'll try something else :freak2: as for Pau, meh just give me an athletic big who has a motor ala Hill doesn't even have to have the skill like Pau.
