This explains quite a bit...
Mark Medina ‏@MarkG_Medina
Metta World Peace revealed some of his struggles in Jan. & Feb had to do w/ a popped right fibula he suffered Jan. 9 against San Antonio

Mark Medina ‏@MarkG_Medina
Metta World Peace: "I'm moving now again." He says he feels 98% now.

That's one thing I really respect about MWP, he rarely makes excuses or reveals what injuries he's dealing with. He's a warrior in the regard that he laces them up, goes out there and gives it his all. You typically don't find out about his injuries until much later or after he's healed up.

Mark Medina
Metta World Peace w/ unintentionally funny explanation on injury suffered Jan. 9 vs. Spurs
Metta: "I took a charge from what's his name? Big white guy from San Antonio?

Reporters: "[Tiago] Splitter"

Metta: "Yeah, Splitter. He kneed me right here in my [right] pelvis. Most injuries come from when your pelvis is out of line. Most ACL tears and Achilles stuff, when your pelvis is out of line, it pulls on something else. Your pelvis must be aligned and it prevents so many injuries. Luckily I didn't pop or tear nothing."

that injury explains alot. looks completely different out there now attacking the rim and getting in the paint vs jacking up 3's. crazy how we never know his injuries until after he's healed from them...guys a warrior.

10/13 is awesome. and he did it quietly....while playing good D i thought. all of a sudden he had like 19 points only missing like 2 shots.

good game. vet leader stepping up when the team needs it

I don't know about that ... each time (season) he played garbage for some months then started playing well , he told the media he was injured ...

The only thing which matters is he hasn't been a huge offensive liability for some games though

MWP shot too much and took everyone out of rhythm.

Alot of people were excited about the open threes that Metta would get playing with Nash, but wide open long jumpers has been the one constant during Ron's tenure as a Laker so its not anything new.

Even though he'll still find a way to blow a layup that no NBA player should and he's almost guaranteed to get whistled for an offensive foul (rightfully so or not), Id still much rather he played this way at all times....take a few threes if you must, but use your strength and size advantage by playing closer to the rim.

Good things will happen.

And like clockwork he goes 2-9 from 3pt range.......
"Come hell or high water we're gonna be there again. Its just something about the Lakers organization. Mitch is really, really good at it, he's really really good man...."

Missed a lot. Good defense, good steal/layup play, etc.

Not a bad game. He just missed longballs.

This didn't seem like a bad defense kind of game. Metta did his part and had a few nice sequences.

When we had a chance to make runs, nobody could buy a shot. Jamison was especially guilty. Disappeared, and turned the ball over. Defense overal was fine until Scola blew things up late.

I'm more pissed about him rolling the ball to Meeks on the 1 on 0 fast break. All them muscles and he passed that ball like North Korea sent off a missile.

He also had 5 steals and 3 assists.

Again, decent game. He didn't lose it.

MWP in the huddle after his charge....

"That wasn't a charge, that was a good pass."

The moron doesn't even know he shouldn't be dribbling.

^The sad thing is, we all know it. Every time he dribbles it's a turnover or a charge waiting to happen.

That play was incredibly costly. But let's face it, not as much as the whole second half effort by the team.

Yes, team played bad overall....But that play pretty much lost the game for us...and it's indicative of his stupidity and selfishness that he's shown ALL YEAR.
