58% free throw shooting is unacceptable though.

I thought Ron looked really good out there on offense tonight. He seemed to be attacking more, hesitating less, and wasn't overly passive. Had a couple awkward looking fast breaks that he finished himself. Looked to be a good sign he's getting more comfortable and following Phil's advice for him to score more.

that 3 on 1 one man fastbreak play was juts funny, he was going at it in slow motion and they just couldn't do anything about it he's just too big, they don't wanna get in front of him.

CDR ended up with 5 points on 2/11 shooting ... and 3 of those points came in garbage time when Artest wasn't on the floor.

So basically, he only allowed him to score 1 FG for 2 points with a horrible percentage. Pretty impressive. And those 2 weren't due to a lack of effort-- he overplayed CDR one time and got backdoored.

This guy does so much damage to the opposition that's it not even fair. He is writing the modern version on textbook defense. What a unique player. He is beyond comparisons, at least in the modern era. He somewhat reminds me of Pippen and at other times he's Rodman. His defensive skill and knowledge are off the charts. Extraordinary.

Well to be fair, it's the Nets. They just tied the worst losing streak record ever for the NBA. I love that he showed the same intensity defensively, but at the same time : this team is awful right now.

To be fair to Ron, even if it's the Nets the guy he shut down came in averaging 17 ppg shooting 46%, against Ron's defense he scored 5 shooting 2-11 in 32 minutes. Just another lock down night for this seasons DPOY!

Relax. He's taking shots because he's wide open. Phil wants him to be more aggressive offensively. Ron is fine.

Ron has been playing great just needs to work on his ft's imo.

he is shutting down the opposing matchup.. the only person i recall getting his points was melo and in that game ron had foul trouble.

aside from that he is draining his threes at a great rate, passing the ball etc. i hope he takes a few more shots a game over the course of the season and averages around 12-13 shots per game.

Andrew Bynum took 5 shots because of himself, not Ron Artest. If Andrew wants more shots, demand the ball down low. Ron Artest took more shots because he was more open. Get over it.
