Nash missed 2 free throws, but before that he was great. He hit that little shot just outside the lane to keep us up, he hit that foot on the line 2 with no hesitation, he had the 10 assists, great game from him.

Nash missing two FT's was the WEIRDEST THING EVER. I thought the game was over when he went to the line... and he missed BOTH. :man10:

Luckily, Detroit sucks, so we pulled out. And before those missed FT's, Nash was pretty damn good.

Just did the math, and yup, Nash just dropped to 2nd place all time behind Mark Price.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter

Since 1/7/06, Nash had 583 2-shot free throw attempts without missing both, before today. Didn’t end up hurting LAL.

Well, now he can go another 600 days before he misses both. And then his contract will expire.

That is absolutely crazy. over 6 years.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Actually 7.

Sheesh! I can't imagine any star going through a season without missing 2 FT's at least once. But since 2006, Nash completed 6 full seasons without missing 2 FT's in any of them!!!

OMG! he's getting old, trade him, waive him, omg, the sky's falling, omg ... ;)
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

dude's still recovering from the injury (aren't they all) so he has hiccups along the way. We just need to get into the play offs.

Hell of a game, this guy is a baller, loves big moments, clutch, a leader. But oh wait, he's not super fast and young so he sucks right? :man11:

I don't have enough superlatives for this guy. Just awesome. Outplayed Deron, what else can you ask for?

Those left handed hook shots that makes are not easy. Guy has lost a step but still effective.

Having him on our team is such a luxury. The guy is just too much fun to watch. Those lefty hook shots, OH MY. Just so effing good.

Having two guys that can create is just so great. Obviously it helps when you a play a team that's not quite athletic enough to pressure the ball-handler, but Steve was really on his game today. He looked fantastic.

I think Steve is the one with the voodoo doll. He hurt himself as a cover up, but he really just wanted to be the Center on offense, so he could work on his post game against 7 footers.

What a baller. That's all I can say....he outplayed Deron Williams. It was nice to see our PG outplay another star PG...you could tell that DWill was tired towards the end of the game after running through all those screens....

Steve Nash outplayed & outclassed Deron Williams this game.
