I don't get people getting upset at Nash for not playing. He's 39, his hamstring isn't right, the last thing we need is for him to push it and get badly injured. If he could play I'm sure he would.

This. If he plays and completely tears his hamstring....

This.

I feel bad for the guy...he's a competitor just like Kobe...he hates not playing. Anybody that thinks otherwise is on crack.

I like Nash and I dont think he's done. But I do think that at his age and without the Phx medical staff he can only give you about 25mpg if you want him to be relatively healthy and effective.

I dont think thats enough for what he's being paid. I never really got the third year of his deal at his age either, but that may be something obvious that Im not thinking of.

Wouldn't really be surprised if the Lakers try to trade him if he decides to come back next year. Hell maybe he decides to retire and Mitch and some other team look to pull a fast one in a trade where the other team understands they're basically gets an "expiring" contract.....if thats even possible.

Let's hope he can recover and get ready for the playoffs.

Get it? Playoffs. :man1:

Yep, and if he comes back early then he'll either be limited or probably get hurt and missing more time anyways.

Hamstring injuries need time to recover. I've had one, and trust me, you cannot run on it at all.

I'm not angry AT him, just at the situation.

No one can pretend that we obtained THE Steve Nash this season. We have had some sad shade of a Steve. Some pathetic version of what we thought we were getting this summer.

That's not his fault, so I'm not mad at him, but it's definitely the truth. And I feel justified in my frustration.

Just simply turned out to be wasted cash. An old point guard who gets old on the Lakers' watch. Nice.

Nash told me on our @TWCSportsNet pregame interview that he's extremely frustrated to not be able to play w/back/hip/hammy issues.

Nash has been working with LAL staff constantly, but sprinting remains a problem. He's able to shoot, move OK, but can't go full speed.

We do on O, can't rely on Blake getting 20+ (though I don't think Pau will ever go 3 for 17 again), but I think we all agree that if he starts tonight instead of Blake, our D probably isn't as good (which was the key to the game)

I do want him back so I Morris or Duhon go back to the bench though. And some consistent shooting would do wonders for our offense. Plus he can be a go-to guy in the clutch.

Yeah. But at least he can really create his own shot, when others can't score.

and make the offense less helter-skelter, which may or may not have actually worked in our favor tonight

you know if you ignored everything that has happened this season, you'd actually be confident in what a nash, howard, and pau team could do in the playoffs.
