I don't know what to think. But if Nash can come back and practice for 20 minutes instead of 10....\

That's a HUGE plus for our E-Win total.

^^^Alright lets connect the dots.

Horry was a Laker
Horry hip-checks Nash to "cost" Phx the title (nice post by revgen debunking this theory)
Nash becomes a Laker
Nash brings in MDA
Nash hip-checks himself out on paid leave
Lakers suck
Operation Hippidy Check Yoself B4 U Wreck Yoself is a success

I keep forgetting Nash is affiliated with the Lakers. Hope he's having a blast in Canada.

I know right..... whenever I see him in those TWCSportsNet commercials during Lakers games I sometimes say to my roommates who is this guy

Nash is selflish, selfish in the sense that he thinks he can be of any use when in fact everyone and their mama can see he's done.

^^^ I don't think that's fair. He knows if he just gives up and does as you say and quits, this is IT. End of his career. Who here thinks a guy with a champion's "heart" wants to go out that way, sucking on his last two years. That may be the reality and may be the final outcome (likely) but you know he is going to give it every last thing he has to make sure he didn't give up if there is ANY hope to playing like he did a couple years only ago. And go out that way. I'm fairly sure he feels badly about taking the Lakers' money and not giving them what he expected to give them. He's a "quality" guy.

I highly doubt he feels badly for taking Lakers money, there has to be some common sense in his head to realize its over....I mean 4-5 months of off-season and it merely took him 6 games in with lots of minute restriction to boot, to be totally debilitated and he thinks a few months more is gona get him to this "sustainable" point?

OK you think he has no conscience on top of everything else so I will modify the statement to fit your view of things. I'm sure he feels badly about not being able to give on the floor to the Lakers what he had every intention of giving them. Or you have a problem with that too, the guy doesn't care about anything but himself because he's not reacting to the possible END OF HIS CAREER like you think he should be reacting? Giving up and quitting without one last final attempt to get himself to where he was just 2 years ago?

In other news, Steve Nash is out another four weeks at least, per Lakers PR. But that's sort of burying the lead, today. BK

Really? Another 4 weeks? Wow, that's unexpected. You know... it's just nerve damage, that heals quickly.

Ramona Shelburne: Nash said the extended time frame was not due to a setback. He simply doesn't want to rush back and not be able to sustain it.

Ramona Shelburne: Steve Nash: "At this stage, for my condition, it’s really about whether I can sustain the demands of the game."

Ramona Shelburne: NASH: "I just want to play, that’s what gets me through every day. I still love to play, and I still feel like I have the skills to do it."

Ramona Shelburne: Steve Nash: "I’m just fighting every day to get that little bit of joy from playing basketball"

See, just become a coach, man. Train point guards, teach people how to shoot. You're still young enough to run with them in practice. That's basketball for you from now on.

Yup, Nash is delusional, but he loves the game, so I understand. But, at some point, doesn't he have to be realistic? Oh, well. We'll waive him at the end of the year and use the stretch provision to pay him.

I think Nash will give it one more go, but he'll quickly learn he's just not cut out to play NBA ball anymore.

He can play NBA basketball actually, but maybe once every 10 days or so. He would probably do alright under those circumstances. Unfortunately, that's not how professional BBall is played.

You gotta be f****** kidding me with this one. :man10: He wants to keep staying out to sustain his career. :man11: Translation, I want to keep getting paid, treated like an NBA player and partying, but not actually play or medically retire.

Steve Nash went through some light shooting drills Sunday, but he's still 2-3 weeks away from being evaluated according to D'Antoni
