^^ Bummer. Ok, before we even play this game tonight I'm going to say I really think MDA should think about expanding the rotation to include Duhon or Morris. These guards absolutely kill us and we need some other legs who can chase them for some minutes tonight. Meeks just hasn't been effective on D, and Clark is too big. It really would be wise to have some other guards available for some minutes out there on D.

Nash is done. Even if he comes back for the playoffs, he'll be even slower than before. Imagine a 75% Nash guarding Westbrook or Parker. Oh the horror :man6:

I hate to say this, but they have to give Morris more PT. Offensively he's putrid, but defensively, he's the better of the two. Same thing with Ebanks, those guys have to get 5-7 minutes per game and in the right rotation to just rest our guys enough to be effective on both ends of the floor.
Meaning with Kobe and Dwight on the floor. Rest Kobe with Blake, Dwight, Metta, Clark and Meeks on the floor, Rest Dwight with Kobe, Blake, Metta,Clark and Pau on the floor.

Kobe, Morris, Dwight, Ebanks and Clark for 4-5 min per half won't kill us. Not the best option, but it won't burn legs for the 4th Q either.

Some of the blame has to be here.

I don't know how much since Steve can't control his injuries, but if he had been able to play, Kobe wouldn't need to create for 48 minutes. He'd have a partner like we all thought he'd have. Now he's all we have left and he might not even play on Sunday.

honestly, in the offseason i though steve nash was a decent consolation prize to cp3. now i see he doesn't even hold a candle.

I don't think we'll ever see Steve and Kobe play together. Both of them fully healthy would be fun to watch but now... later Steve :man5:

We could really use last seasons Steve Nash, but now it appears doubtful if he'd even play again this season.

Sad to say, but the Nash-Pringles 2.0 experiment has been a huge failure.

Nash has no one to run the pick and roll with. Dwight can't catch any sort of pass unless it's a lob and Pau's too slow to run it effectively.

Well I still think Nash can be an effective player if he's playing about 25mpg, but anyway my comment was on the Lakers gamble on a Nash-Dantoni reunion, not Nash the player.

Even though he had a good relationship with Pringles and was fine with the hire, I very much doubt he would've been Kobe's first choice for a coach. Matter of fact I doubt he'd be the first choice of anyone on the team other than Nash.

Not saying he was the driving force behind the hire, but its hard to imagine that Nash being a Laker and the thought of rekindling the magic the two of them had wasn't a huge reason why MDA was considered and eventually hired.

Frye and Diaw weren't exactly speedy beast either, so Nash can run PnR now with Pau getting his jump shot back....Nash has to do something now w/o Kobe :man6:

I wanna see him playing in the playoffs, assuming we get there. no excuses, just be there.

Thing is, if his hamstring isn't right and he can't play, then he can't play. He's 39, we don't need to push another guy to get out there and injure himself even worse. He needs to sit until he's right, even if that means he doesn't play again this season.

steve nash is bad karma or something. look at his career. those phoenix suns teams had the worst luck. year after year big injuries or big suspensions

well either him or dantoni anyways. but regardless one of them brought some nasty juju here

The karma is dantoni not Nash. Will be interesting to see how he puts on the happy public face as a new hot young assistant coach takes a seat on his bench and starts giving all kinds of advice and schemes and planning, whether head coach Dan really welcomes that or not. Tough season for Dan like him or most likely not..... it's like he got baited and switched with the promise of Nash and Phoenix 2.0 turned into whatever they would call it now with Nash and Kobe both unavailable and 2 seven footers around the key who both like to post up and run half court offense. His worst nightmare. :man10: :man10:
